WTH is wrong with you Sideshow? at least have a choice of regular or bronze. The bronze looks OK, but this thing would have been much cooler if it was painted like the creature in the movie. maybe will get a nice chrome plated predator next

Indeed, the bronze looks cheap. I would consider if it had the regular paintjob

Okay, so Sideshow and ADI are loving this partnership, but what are they really giving us? This is just another excuse to milk it. They are just casting protos, concepts, and maquettes and selling them off to us. This thing should have been refined and sold as a sweet statue with a clear dome, but instead we get the original rough sculpt with poor detail and jay Leno chin, painted badly to look like bronze. LAME!

What I would pay nearly a grand for would be one of these A4 Aliens in this same pose in refined and painted 1/4 scale with a clear dome. I wipe my butt with this thing.

Maybe not in this case so much, but having a cast of an actual movie maq, etc means quite a bit to many collectors; I want SS to continue down this road even more.

Yes, I didn't mean that casts of props aren't cool, I love them myself, but refined and painted replicas are cool. This is MEH-

ES announced on this, but was conflicting. Newsletter said 750 while description page says 500, hmm....

Nevermind, just re-checked NL and it's been corrected to show 500. That seems like a decent ES for this piece. Still not sure if I'll keep it.

not a fan of the bronze at all, the body is sweet, but the head is wack. i hope the next alien they make doesnt have the completly transparent dome. i hate seeing the skull of the alien, the only transparent part of the dome is near the middle/back of the head. in the movie thats all it shows anyway

Funny thing is, I think the AvP:R design is FAR superior to everything after A3.

But, I love concept stuff...so I might have to pick this one up later.

It's a CONCEPT maquette. It's not meant to looke exactly like the movie version.

I didn't say it was supposed to look like the movie version. It is pretty obvious it is not...the head is just not right it looks 25% too small and detracts from the overall piece.
The CONCEPT should have been to make a statue in proportion to itself.
