And what a team they have. I hope they win. I'm seeing the final at IMAX with some friends, can't wait. I'll be wearing my Germany jersey and supporting them.

Its a no win situation for Brasil on Saturday.

They play bad and lose, fans will be traumatized some more.

They play good and win, fans will just complain and be angry that they should've played against Germany in the same manner.

Although by all rights I think Germany should win (they have the better team, have played better and have won against much tougher teams), I think Argentina have a real chance.
They have improved continuously throughout the tournament and have (surprise surprise) world class players in top form (DiMaría and Mascherano come to mind). Germany comes from humiliating Brazil and are probably feeling that they've already won.
Last time around they routed Argentina 4-0 and went on to play crap and lose against Spain, who were on a similar path as Argentina are now, winning by the bare minimum and having some luck on their side...

I agree, on paper , Germany should win, but I think the pressure to win is greater on them than on Argentina. They've been all but handed the trophy at this point. Argentina is the underdog , who can still play spoiler.

I got into the US Mens team fever and in order to sort of educate myself on the game itself I watched all the group matches and eventually all the matches beyond that. I absolutely love it. They should do away with the ridiculous age restrictions at the Olympics and make it a full-fledged football/soccer tournament. Every four years is just too long to wait between drinks.
