Yeah, the Yellow Carded Silva was a huge loss as well. She does miss Scotland, but we go back every two years, and her mum comes on the off years that we don't go back. I love driving on the wrong side of the road too
If any footballer is being genuine with his emotion it's David Luiz.
That guy genuinely puts his heart and soul into everything and I think he's being unfairly blamed for the entire Brazilian performance.
Yes, he made mistakes but so did the rest of the side.
It's a sad aspect of football culture that the media always has to pick on someone and single them out, with England it's currently Rooney.

Nah he is a shocking defender and he should never have been made captain. As captain he should have pulled that back line in but instead he let Marcelo run forward and he himself was also guilty of this. He gave up, pure and simply.
PSG should make him a defensive midfield player and let him punt long balls up to Ibrahimović as he is a good passer of the ball.
As for Rooney he is a con artist. He played Man Utd for fools on more than one occasion so that he could get the big money. Sure if he was World Class then fair dues but he is not.
I think it's more like Rooney's agent doing the conning. Rooney doesn't strike me as intelligent enough to work things out for himself, he can barely talk in coherent sentences
Van Gaal won't take any of his crap and I'm hoping he dumps him the first time he kicks off which will probably be when RVP is made captain.
When did Zidane win the WC single handedly for France? 98? He was visible only in the final with 2 of his goals from corners. The real heroes who put France in that final was their solid backline of Thuram, Desailly, Blanc and Lizarazu. Teams **** their pants trying to score against them with Viera and Barthez there too. Those megastars tend to performs way better in their respective clubs. Messi still has the chance to prove the world that he can single handily win the WC for Argentina like Maradona did. Or like Zidane.
But yeah, most of them were truly a disappointment in this WC. Amazing that Portugal had to beat Sweden to make it to the WC, and it was by far CR7's best match in his career (he won the thing alone) I know he wasn't at 100% on this WC but it was nonetheless disappointing.

Zidane had a one man show in 2006 when he truly led the team to the final, but sadly one moment of madness... and it was over. That would have been the true one man World Cup win since Maradona.
All part of the 'act' and yes LVG will take no crap especially from the likes of Rooney.
Rooney is at the moment the only developed English talent you have who is World Class.
He used to be a very good player. He's never been World Class and he never will be, he's no way near the standard of Messi & Ronaldo, either on a physical, mental or technical level.
Thats a very unfair comparison, I dont think there are too many, rather any at the moment who are at the standard of those two. After those two in the list of top top players Rooney will be the only English one. He is strong in the air, has good passing and a much better finish than a lot of others. He has served United very very well over the years. Its just bias to call him a spent force. He used to be a very good player. Twice in the same day I find myself agreeing with you....WTF?
I know, it's sickening isn't it!
Really dont think we should make a joke out of that loss. Specially with the emotions of the fans. Yes it was a horrible performance but spare a thought for all those fans who sat through 90 minutes in the stadium, cried and applauded the German goals. Those are true football fans. If this was happening in our local derby there would be rioting by half time and Im sure the match would be called off.
My father was at the stadium watching this, he said he has finally seen what fans of the game are like, and should be. There was no ill will shown to the opponent fans, everything was taken with the spirit of the game.
Brazil is too much of a football giant to have this game be a disaster for them. Rather this should be an eye opener for them to revamp the way they have been playing for a decade now. Its time for Brazil to rediscover why they were the ultimate conjurors of the beautiful game.
