the last 30 seconds of the first half 2min overtime, england got pummeled and did a dive after a poor tackle. italy could have gotten a free penalty kick right there.LOLz
rooney was pretty useless in the 2nd half. like dead weight....rooney meet the bench please.:lol

japan is on fyyyahh!

That has to be one of the best GIFs I've ever seen :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

Two of my least favorite teams will play tonight but my hatred for Italy supersedes all else. I'm forced to side with England. Hope useless Rooney comes through for once and brings home England a victory.

:lol :lol all tongue in cheek bro ;) it was a great game!!! Still recovering from the match...still buzzing!!!! Been watching the highlights over and over again and each time I'm totally mesmerised by the class of Pirlo!! He may be old but he didn't pull up for cramp once!!! :lecture

Always makes my day watching a mediocre team with visions of granduer losing.

I thought Welbeck played well tonight. Credit when it's due because I don't rate him

I think Rooney has ran out of chances though. He needs to come of the bench & earn his place back in the 1st team. He shouldn't be guaranteed a starting position, I rate him don't get me wrong but he's not performing

Its a tricky one because he is such a talent but again, England seems to play our best players out of position. And even last night when he wasnt so good and should have scored, he still set up our goal. I think he has to play in the middle or not play and being as he was our top scorer in the qualifiers , we need our experienced best players.
Feel a bit flat today. Need to pick it up and WIN thursday.

Engerland got their bums spanked I love iiit! Best fathers day gift :lol

They hardly got spanked, they actually played well but being a Scot you would say that

If us English had the same perspective of hoping to watch Scotland fail we would be an extremely happy nation

England played well last night, a big improvement from the last World Cup.
Sterling, Sturridge, Welbeck and Henderson all done well.

We will get through, we have to be positive!! :rock

England have just announced they'll have a new captain next week.

His name is Roger Smith and he's the pilot for the flight home.

Guys (England fans) I've got no doubt you'll qualify for the next round so don't worry. Despite the result last night there were lots of positives to take from it...notably Sterling! What a performance for such a young player! It's defensively where I worry abt England :( England can also take a positive note from the fact that they won't come up against the same style of play as the Italians in their next two games as Italy showed once again that they are leagues above England in terms of retaining and holding onto possession and despite what some may say but it is our mentality to encourage the opposition to attack after taking the lead...we've always done this throughout the tournaments...when Italy take a lead they sit on it and soak the pressure - for us Italians is so bloody fustrating as we could have scored a third and just finished off for good :gah: Uruguay and Costa Rica will be no problem. Italy and England to qualify guys! Chin up!!! :clap

No I don't angry about things like this but good try

When I watch football all I want to see is an exciting game with chances with a good referee not making poor decisions & that's what I got to see

England played an exceptional team last night with world class players like Pirlo & Di Rossi to name just a few but they gave it a go. Sterling was fun to watch alone

England have no chance of winning this tournament but as long as we go out playing football like they did last night then I'll be more than happy

What group is Scotland in anyway, I can't see them? :dunno

You cant say that. Yea it would be tough but look at Greece in the euros, look at when Liverpool and chelsea won the champions league....
We have good, young exciting players that allot of these teams no nothing about and are maybe not as predictable as previous world cups.
We played quality opposition last night and played most of the game in they're half after half time and I think anyone watching would say we deserved a draw.
Need to take the positives, pick ourselves up and go and win the last 2.
Come On england

Italy won. Fair and square. Great game too.

Still hate them though.....:D

3 Lions on a shirt, no chance of trophies, lots more years of hurt, 'cos they've got no winners.
