I'll root for the US but other than maybe a country or two I really enjoy watching England, Argentina, Portugal, etc. I admit I do root against the Germany.

Holy cow! The USA winds and suddenly this place gets 100+ posts :lol

Glad so see them win, they contributed to CONCAC AFs 1st matches, the only downer was Honduras.

...understanding of course that I wasn't referring to the US team as it stands now but a hypothetical US team in a reality where America actually cared about and invested in ''soccer''.

Still.

You have countries like England, Brazil, Italy, Argentina, France, Spain, Germany, Netherlands etc etc, all with huuuuuuge domestic leagues and highly competitive regional tournaments, huge budget for said leagues and national teams, all generating the most highly valued players every year, each of those countries loving football even more than America loves the Superbowl, and none of them have it "easy" when competing for the WC.

So I don't think a hypothetical USA team could easily win a WC especially if you remember that they struggle with their sports that are already popular such as Baseball, Basketball and American Football against other countries.

Could the become more competitive given more resources? Of course, and they're doing so slowly but surely, 10 years ago they weren't even considered for anything, now big teams watch out for them.

Yeah, uh, so you're well and truly on the bandwagon you tried so hard to derail a week ago huh blackmask?

Or is that from your phap folder? :wink1:

a week ago there was nothing important to talk about. I posted what was being relevant a week ago. (it wasn't off topic or trolling either)

And that's way too dark of a joke bro, way, way too dark.............

First we played American Football against any other county is would be sad very sad how bad any other country would lose. Second we very rarely struggle against any other country in Basketball. If more boys were interested in soccer we could become a top team in a reasonably short period of time. We have a plenty of top level athletes who are not even interested in soccer but if they were it would change the dynamic of the team. It's not a lack or resources it a lack of interest.
