Louis Van Gaal certainly knows how to get his teams playing positive attacking football and in today's game they didn't hit top gear but ground out a result....the last time Man Utd had a manager like that things worked out rather well

A shame it was too little too late but it was still nice to see Juan Mata get on the scoresheet for Spain in their win.

Robben is like Ronaldo, he has the unsavoury side to his game with his diving but when he's running at people with the ball at his feet he's devastating.

It'd be great to see him with RVP for United but I can't see him leaving Bayern Munich for a United side that are without European football unless they offer him more in wages than Rooney's getting....he'd be worth it IMO.

Other Dutch players that might be more realistic targets are Daley Blind and Memphis Depay, I've been impressed with both.

I wouldnt be shocked if it did happen. He's done everything at Bayern and they may want to invest for the future. He is an outstanding player but like you say and like most of the greats, he falls over allot. Depay looks awesome, very composed and silky. rumour is Madrid may be after him to replace Di Maria.

Since Van Gaal got the United job quite a few Dutch players including Robben have been linked with United. I guess we'll find out for sure what his transfer plans are once he's done at the World Cup.
