Ok, so just to give you guys a bit more information on what's going on here's the scoop.

Les has entrusted me with his Ledger Joker and ANH Darth Vader custom figures, shipped them off to me and they are at the moment in my posession for a hefty photo session. I am currently still shooting these breathtaking figures, and once the time comes to share my photo work, I'll get more in depth with my thoughts on them, but I will leave you with this. The quality and craftsmanship put into both figures is remarkable, the level of detail and quality put into them exceeds whatever pictures you've seen so far have left you to imagine. My hope is that my pictures will be able to make the quality of Les' work more clear for those who'll never see them beyond here. Vader is beyond words cool, and bothe figures' wardrobe is exemplary in both tailoring and fabrication, he's got a material for his Vader cape that is stupendous, I wish some of the Batman figures on the market as well as SSC's upcoming Vader would have it, it's the heaviest light fabric I've encountered, if that makes any sense. It's a good thickness for maintaining scale with the figure, but yet it somehow manages to have a weight that let's it hang very nicely, a real highlight of the figure.

Another tease.

Sweet!

As nice and clear Les' photo's of his work are, they do not do his work justice. I've got two Jokers from him so far and they are breath taking. I can't imagine how this one looks in person! :drool

You and I do share a rare privlege in seeing Les' Ledger Joker paint talents up close and personal. It's really a masterpiece in application.

OH MY GOD!! The added hair looks amazing Les! I can imagine how scary it would've been adding it, as that is the way I am when I am about to repaint a stock head from HT. I really wish that you were able to mimic it exactly and add it to your initial run of heads but its always 'better safe than sorry' :lol

Those shots are amazing MaulFan! The teaser for the Joker literally made me choke on my own spit. Cant wait to see more photos

It really is. If Michelangelo painted figures, he would have taken lessons from Les.

"You've been called the Da Vinci of our time. What do you say to that? "

As soon as I can Josh. I am still hip deep in Colonial Marines and others. I am very much aware of him and am thinking of him again soon. Faramir deserves a certain amount of focus. When I start him, I will let you know.

Just got all the skin and hair bases on any loose heads on my desk, so besides the ones that are further along, I now don't have to look at any heads with blank and unpainted resin showing anymore. THAT FEELS GOOD!
So, update is still soon.

I got a lot on my desk. 86 at last count (not counting but about a third of the Hicks, all the Bales, Jokers, Supermen, and a few more sets). That means, I can't rush if I want these right. I do assume you guys want them right? correct? proper? Yes? Well, hang tight! They are coming soon! Lots and lots and lots and lots to come!
Seriously.

Yes, we want them right and are willing to wait. Like most of us, everyday when I check your thread, I hope for a picture of my Indy. But I can wait. It's not a big deal.

Wow Les, that pic Maulfan has is awesome! I had the exact same idea you had with adding bits of real hair on the front for more realism :), I've done it before on some other sculpts and it turns out well but like you said it is pretty scary and difficult if you mess up.

Chris

Les, right is always, well, "right"! Whatever time it takes is how long it takes. I am looking forward to seeing your fantastic work on my heads and I will see them when I see them! No worries, family is always first, and I wish you the best for your parents and you. Remember to take care of YOU, as well, stress is a killer and sometimes it can sneak up on you... :peace

Thanks Buttmunch. That scale is hard for me to work in, since I am so used to 1/6, but it was fun, if time consuming. Thanks for your comments.

Here is proof positive that heads are coming!

This is one of several Reeses, AR Ballistic's to be specific :horror, that is about ready for clearcoats and prepping for shipping.
Also in the block are most of those Spikey Haired Hicks heads, in various degrees of finishment, along with a lot of singles and others.

Thanks all for your continued patience with me in these times of delays and extreme familial frustrations. It has indeed been an awful few months for me. Your kindnesses, messages of support, and understanding, and the chair, is appreciated by all here I assure you! Your long waits are soon at an end. :rock

And for those that aren't so patient with me, well, some of you are getting your's soon also, so cheer up! :lol

More to come soon! Update #2 this week!

Hey Les , AR here bro. Remember this thread back on 7-30? With only clearcoat and prepping for shipping I figured I would have this by now bro. I'm feelin teased here:D

"And what do you say to your other nickname, the Collector of Death?"

That ones pretty good. Ask Loki. :lol

Les your stuff never ceases to amaze....don't be surprised one day to get a PM asking for a mass custom paint job.

No tease AR. Didn't get to the PO in time yesterday. Got him and some other stuff to ship. Will be out tomorrow am. He is packed and ready to go. Should get him Wednesday my guess.

Mike, you're on! :rock

It is hard K. Applying hair to an already painted and finished head. I won't lie to you. That was a scary exercise. I hope I don't have to try to repeat it. BUT, if I can. I may. Just not sure I want to go through that stress again. :monkey1
Anyway, we'll see. Thanks for the comments and thanks you other folks. Much obliged.
