Sloth love Les!!!

I'm SO 'EFFIN STOKED for my Sloth!!! He's gonna be worth the wait--I know it!

For those of you that don't know, my Sloth came from Japan like this last year:

Paint rubbed...

Broken handed...

And hungry for Baby Ruth...

Now Les is giving him the royal treatment! Can't wait!

Oh, and Trevor's Obi-Wan sculpt is DYNAMITE! Man! What a sculpt to paint! ALmost pulls the paint it wants off my brushes. Just an amazing sculpt! Can't wait to repaint mine now.

Isn't it just amazing Les. I'm painting my second one now... and i just LOVE this sculpt. Trevor is a keeper, I hope sideshow keep a tight hold on that fella.

Same here Vik! That is YOUR so so overdue tenth Doc, so hang tight! He is soon! And thanks about the stuff for me. I look forward to it with bated breath! I might point out Vikki made the Sherlock hat for Amarcord's figure that I made (another one I REALLY need to ship out soon! ), so know this lady rocks!


Home news:
Just got back from seeing Ma for the first time in a day or so. I have not felt well enough to get out, even though I was here working, that is not the same as getting out...plus the daily storms! But anyway, she looks better, her color is better after her bout with the blood thinner scare, and the kidney scare. So, know that she is better. She asked about you all. She is mighty proud that I have you guys for friends. She was bragging about the chair, and I sat in it the whole time. Great chair!!

Anyway, between that and groceries, not much paint today, but back to it shortly. So pics either late tonight or tomorrow. Didn't want you all expecting something when I can't get it out yet. But keep a wary eye out! As you can see, A LOT COMING!

And Slade, so glad to see you pumped about your Sloth. Can't wait to deliver him to you. If anyone has the Goonies DVD, which I do not have, and can get some Sloth stills for me, any good color refs of him, please email me some shots. I am trying to get that one right, but have little closeup color stuff to go by. Anything will help. Thanks.

Back to work!


Oh, one more thing, DA Josh will be visiting here again this weekend. I will still do some work, as I have to, too much coming after all this not to! But, look for a video on my YouTube channel from both of us to you guys, and some off time for some get together stuff, and a full report after. We don't get to visit often, so every time is always great and fruitful for us both.
More on that after the weekend.

Not the best pic in the world, but I feel it is still one of the greatest compiments I can give Josh and Les.

I think it is clear these two are amazing at what they do. Even more amazing is they both shrunk their skills down 50% to this 6" figure. I'm proud to own these two figures

Dark Artist Josh has been here visiting with my Dad and I since Friday afternoon, so I didn't get much work done, (That's back to in full force today of course) but did we visit! Shared some great time and stories, figures, talked shop of course, the ins and outs of painting and customizing which is always fun, and more.

Saw a couple of movies together, we'd promised each other to see Dark Knight together one time, so that was my fourth and most likely last time at the theatre. (still no Imax, but maybe...) REALLY analyzed the Joker makeup variants as we watched and compared notes. Both of us working even then for you guys!

So, it was a great visit. I needed the break, as did he.
Gave me a sort of a Ma break too. Kinda nice. I don't get too many of those even now.

Anyway, nice to get a break.

Here is Josh adding hair to my own personal DA original Michael Myers!

As you can see, I let him sit in the "Emperor Throne chair" at the FML bench for a while. That was too cool, to watch him work for a change. His dirtying methods have really developed since last visits.
We also shared ideas about workspaces and organizing and all that. Plus, got some of his critiques of some of YOUR heads and things I am working on. That was nice to have some creative feedback in that regard also. Always is.

And we did a video together (posted below) and took some shots of our work together

These are all his Michaels and Jasons. (I'll post this and more of this series of shots in his thread!) And sorry guys, that H1 Mike, as well as the Jason6, is MINE! I get to finish the H1 knife though....

And here is the most fun part for me, our two original custom Mr Freeze figures together for the first time. Mine on the left, his on the right.
