Whoa... I had an idea for head sculpt, and needed some help finding some parts for a 1/6 figure I really wanted to get made, so needless to say, I e-mailed Les tonight... then got curious and started poking around here and I'm seriously in shock.

I had no idea any of this was going on at all.

Yesterday was another long day. I went with my sister to Baxley to see Ma and mostly to try to talk to her doctor about her treatment. We are sorta being left out of the loop, and she is going through a lot without us. I have visions of her scared and alone, feeling abandoned, and that has led to long sleepless nights and/or nightmares (had a scary one about a large bear trying to get me in a big room with me on ladders...yes...stuff THAT vivid...), so it has been tough these last few days.
Like I said, my sister came down to try to help. We took walks and are basically each other's primary in-family support, and that is WONDERFUL with all that is going on. There are rifts in the family due to this, so I just hope it all works out.
I am trying to reach her doctor, so I can get more info. Ma won't be home soon, another week or two, and even then, not sure where "home" will be.
I am facing the notion that my sister may have to take her to the Atlanta area, for better care, and that means I won't be able to see her much anymore. That in itself scares me some, but even the social worker at the hospital Ma's at now, thinks I need to let a lot of this go, and get on with things...my Life as it were. I am trying for just that. It's just hard.
SO....
Onward I trudge.

I WILL have an update any time now. I have had a hard time painting, as you might imagine, as all you do is sit and think, but I am back at it.
The sets and paints, all are still underway. I still hope to be totally caught up with all of this backlogged stuff, no matter what, within the next month or so, so that by November, I can take on a less full load, and do some "Agressive Expansion", so thanks all for your fortitude, patience, and most of all, support.

Cool 6000th post coming too. Something. Need to work that up.

Man I hate to be the one to say it, but man, put the brushes down if you need to! I, for one, would much rather you focus on what's most important in your life like your Mom (who, by your own words, is your source of inspiration) than to worry about guys getting all pissy about not having their stuff. If the painting gets you through, then by all means, paint on brother. But if it is just another source of stress and anxiety, please do yourself a favor and slow down. I'm sure us guys would understand. It doesn't help any of us if you burn yourself out.

I'm keeping you guys in my prayers.

Take as much time as you need Les. You deserve it. I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through now with your Mom. We all know you love her with all of your heart (and then some) and just want what is best for her. I know moving her to Atlanta would be hard on you, but it might be for the best if she can get better treatment and care there. You would at least have your Dad with you right?

Well, Les I hope things start improving for your and your family soon my friend. It has been such a long and very hard year for you. I can't even imagine what all you are going through now. As I've always said you always have my support. I always have an open ear for you if you ever want to talk. I alway enjoy getting your e-mails and phone calls. Stay strong Les. That actually brings up an interesting thought. Would we all buy figures of eachother? That would definately increase our odds of having a talented sculptor be comissioned for a reasonable price!
