Unreal. Can’t wait for it to arrive then. End times are truly upon us now if these are finally releasing 👀. Which body did you get for it?
Yeah In looking forward to it, been a long wait!
I think I went for the s16A? Can't remember exactly, hopefully it's fine. I know phicen can tend to be too tall..

Looking back at the super duck set before I pay my invoice, I forgot how much they changed Yuffie's design between Intergrade and Rebirth. Wonder what the impetus for that was, since nobody else changed at all.

Interesting. I’ll let you and Akira be my personal Guinea pigs then before I decide 🤣

A relevant point is that my S34 (again, only one I own) is taller than those recent Star Man Chun Li and Cammy bodies. I highly suspect the Star Man Tifa will be the same size, so that's likely a contributing factor for you or anyone else buying that figure (I'm not). It remains to be seen if the GT Tifa is overscaled to match their Cloud or not, but I feel it's safer to err on the shorter side.

There's a few other things about the S44 that factored into my decision, though. In addition to being shorter, it has by far the smallest bust of any of these TBLeague bodies (which is important to me, since once you put a shirt over any of these bodies it exaggerates their bustsize even further). It appears to have a longer neck, which I think will help with futzing the turtleneck. And judging by the promo pictures, I feel like the SD Yuffie headsculpt is a little underscaled, proportionally. Superduck seems to scale all their heads to the same size with little regard to canon proportions; the SD Yuffie has the same proportions as last month's SD Ada, for example. There's always a risk of a bobblehead effect with smaller bodies, but I suspect since the head feels too small to me on the promo pics it will scale well with a smaller body.

I'm on the fence with this purchase but would like to see how it looks with different body proportions. The s44 looks closer to me, but I'm concerned the shirt/pauldron will be too big and the arms will be too short for the gauntlet thing

Yeah had a look and the body looks more accurate but same concerns

That's a valid concern. Eyeballing off Giantoy's pictures of the bodies with the visible rulers, the s44's arms are around 7.7cm while the s16's are 8.8cm, over a full cm difference. If the s44 doesn't work, the only other option for a shorter body from TBleague is the s24.

The s24 has the same height as the s44 while having arms that are about 8.3cm, so exactly splitting the difference in length between the s44 and the s16. The s24 has a much larger bust size, though, and would likely need to be shaved down. Unfortunately, looking at the full available list of bodies, I think there's only three that measure below the standard size of ~26cm, and the third one, the s38, is much too heavyset for Yuffie.

I'm also considering trying a worldbox AT201, despite the visible joints. From my research it appears the AT201 is a little bit taller than the s24/s44 but not as tall as the s16/most other tbleague bodies.

A little off-topic but thanks to creative exploitation of how the game engine works, it's now possible to keep Aeris in your party in all legitimate versions of the original FF7 without cheats or save editing. It's not exactly a simple process but it IS doable, even on PS1 hardware. Really fascinating stuff.

Yeah it will be interesting to see how different bodies look with this Yuffie set, I am interested in a smaller body if its better. I just hope if using a smaller body the tailoring doesn't look too baggy if it was made for S16/S18 in bodies in mind.

But since the Gametoys figures are abit overscaled, I am hoping the S16 I have is a suitable height. There is worldbox which are great but you wont get that seamless look.

I like the look of the world box body so will be curious if anyone tries it. The only joint you’ll see is the right knee tbh

So is this exploit the canon in rebirth?

I do have a worldbox AT201 and SD 16A, so may try both when the time comes

The more I ruminate the more I want to go with the AT201, just because of how much I dislike the skin tone on the TBLeague figures. I think it's kind of funny people prefer the TBL figure when skin is exposed, because it's seamless, and the jointed figures for when they're clothed, meanwhile the TBL figure is just one flat, ugly color and the Worldbox figures have nicely painted skin detail.

When the set arrives, I'll post some pictures of it on both bodies, for the people on the fence who don't like throwing 50 bucks at something they might not use lol.
