I love all of your OG blocky figures. I used to make them out of paper back over a decade ago before they were being released as actual figures.

For your GT figure: Swapping out the seamless arms for the more articulated ones on Cloud is really easy. If you want to do a dynamic pose I would just do that. Then you don't have to worry about the material tearing. I swapped one arm on mine just to do more drastic posing.

If Gametoys wasn't around it looks like a solid enough release, but... It's a hard sell when you know there's a significantly better looking release coming.

It's the VTS face that bothers me, it otherwise looks pretty good. It's too doll-like, compared to GT which has a recognisable expression.

I mean, if you want to. Sephiroth doesn't use the tpe material, and if you're careful enough with Cloud and Zack, then you're fine. And AC Cloud, Tifa, Aerith all have bodies of a newer high grade material. I wouldn't worry so much. To have is better than to have not.

It's hard to come to terms with, but most of our plastic figurines are not going to last. Materials wither, fray, brittle, and break. Enjoy them to the fullest while you have them and be thankful you had a chance to own them.

This is a problem with every seamless material that is trying to imitate human skin.
The material for this price and flexibility can only get you so far. All of them will break eventually
if you keep them in some kind of arms up victory pose or some karate kick pose etc.
The material on the joints can not be stretched forever.
The exact same thing happens to life size "adult doll collector items" btw,
you are not even supposed to let them stand in museum pose because its too much pressure on the seamless material and joints.
Instead they should lie in a box with no sunlight.
Thats the downside if you want 100% seamless bodies. It is not possible to have the best of both options.

Yet. I believe in the future we will see closure to these problems. They could possibly find new ways to reinforce the elbows, and knees... or make them thicker, or more elastic. I don't know the specifics behind it all but I'd love to.

Face looks a bit better than the Remake version, they actually gave him the scowl this time, but the hair is the exact same ugly melted bubblegum from their Remake release, and that was the one thing that needed changing the most.

This is the best way to make these figures, I'm doing the same thing with my CCToys Lou2 Ellie, currently displaying with one regular jointed arm and one seamless arm:

It should really be standard practice to include two sets of arms with every figure. The AC Cloud's full seamless torso is not the right direction to be heading.

I almost gotten VTS AC Cloud. Already asked my seller what’s the payment plan but at the last min saw someone posted the photo of first released version of GT Cloud. Decided to pull the brake and see how they turn out in comparison.

I wasn’t as bothered about the face sculpt of VTS as much as their off scaling. He look gigantic. Some people modify the shoes to make him shorter but that feels “off” too.

But from prototype photo, VTS AC CLOUD sword look more solid and detail then GT. I hope both company succeed. More competition is better for consumers.

og release date was april I think, but the samples GT boss is getting have bad quality, so until the factory gets it right, it's delayed. Zack seems to be completely done outside of the headsculpt, and the boss is rightfully focusedd on getting it 100% to the promo pics.

As I remember they had May-June 2022 as a release date. I did a prepayment in December at onesixthkit.com for Zack and after that his product page was deleted so I thought that he might be delayed or i didn't received the payment notification

Nah page deletion happens sometimes! I think it’s just in case of page glitches, trying to make sure once preorders close no one can get one in anyway. Kit is actually on this forum from time to time, and is a really well known trusted name, so I wouldn’t worry about it.
