The more I ruminate the more I want to go with the AT201, just because of how much I dislike the skin tone on the TBLeague figures. I think it's kind of funny people prefer the TBL figure when skin is exposed, because it's seamless, and the jointed figures for when they're clothed, meanwhile the TBL figure is just one flat, ugly color and the Worldbox figures have nicely painted skin detail.

When the set arrives, I'll post some pictures of it on both bodies, for the people on the fence who don't like throwing 50 bucks at something they might not use lol.

Not all heroes wear capes

You hardly owned the SD Aerith?

I think the AT201 hips might be too wide for Yuffie but will see how it is fully clothed. I think S44 you mentioned could be a good choice.

I never owned it. Back in the day I bought the Superduck 2B and was very unimpressed by the quality. Since then I've passed on everything else they've made, not the least of which because I greatly dislike synthetic doll hair, especially on already weak likenesses, and that's the majority of their catalogue.

I've bought Yuffie only because I am not optimistic anybody else will make her and I intend to do some work on it to bring it up to a quality threshold I'm content with. That may include retailoring for a smaller body, we'll have to see.

With Aerith (and Tifa) I see no need to buy the SD sets when I still have complete confidence we'll get a quality standalone release in the future.

Ekiahobbies will be getting the SD Yuffie set in 4-6 weeks. Oomph.

Really tempted on Yuffie.
Found a pic that compares the s16 and s18 bodies.

I think the head proportion on the s16 looks better, but the shirt and harness are visibly looser. Going any smaller on the body will probably make the clothes way too big, but the height being the same as cloud will also look weird...

Yeah that was my main concern going with a smaller body, it might make the clothes look too big and possible give her a bobble head look on a smaller frame, especially if Superduck scaled it with the s16/s18 in mind. I've attached image how the height of the S16a looks next to Cloud, too tall for sure, but I am planning to trim down the pegs using this video.

That height isn't as bad as I thought, thanks for the reference 😀
Once tifa comes out, there might be a height issue between the two...

As far as the bobblehead goes, I think the original design has a pretty big anime head compared to the super duck, but don't want to go too far either

I wonder if the belts on the harness will be adjustable.

Edit
Also, I read that the size of the ball joint on the neck varies with tbleague models. Are the heads and bodies not universally compatible? Or can the ball joints be unscrewed and changed?

Im hoping things are adjustable. I actually didnt know the ball joints can be different sizes, I just checked mine and nope, cant unscrew/remove them.

The ball joints can be different sizes but 90% of them are the same. They can't be unscrewed and swapped.

I believe you can get adapters no matter which neck you have though.

Yeah the issue for me is how tall these tbleague bodies will be compared to Tifa, since Cloud is on the taller side he can still clear them. Having to cut through a metal skeleton is quite unappealing to me, but it's definitely the solution if you want a seamless body. I do think the s44 will wind up being too short, I've got the AT201 in hand now and it's short enough I may even add some ankle extenders, and it's supposed to be taller than the s44. It's a shame those are the two options, too tall, and too short.

Really tempted on Yuffie.

If people just want an out of the box solution they can put the clothes on and have it work, then, yeah, they should go with the recommended body. But I'm stubborn and I bought this set specifically knowing I'd be modifying it. I think the biggest thing to worry about for the average person looking to use a smaller body is the length of the arm accessories, but my next project will be turning this into the Rebirth design and that means making a new armguard anyway, so that doesn't concern me.

I do have the AT201 in hand, its short but probably a good size for Yuffie next to Cloud, at least you got the option to use ankle extenders if need be. My main concern is that the hips are a little too wide, but will test both to see which is the better body.

It'd be a real shame if the hips are so wide you can't button the front of the shorts.

I think leg extenders might actually make the proportions more accurate considering how long everyone's legs are in ff7. All things considered, I think she will probably look best with the cloak covering most of her body...

On a separate note, found a video of the Longshan Tifa. Not sure if this means anything with regards to restrictions of 3rd party releases.
