Thank you my friends. :hi5: It should be a fun project and really looking forward to showing off my collection in style. It will be super nice that part of my collection will be behind glass and won't have to dust as much. Also, I should be able to get all my collectibles that are in their boxes still, out for display.

@jkno, that's a great idea and I will do my best to show the progress.

@aaronViolator, I will give you 30 days in advance notice as to when the tickets will go up for sale. :lol

Just something I decided to work on today.

Here's a computer drawing [still in progress] of display cabinet #1. I am thinking about using glass for the shelving and I plan on including lights as well.

Looks very clean and classy. Keep it that way till the finish. Have you thought of using acrylic instead of glass? Would be better as you won't have to worry about glass breaking.

Thanks bud! I was thinking 3/8 of an inch thick glass for the shelves, but I will definitely do some checking on acrylic. What size thickness would be the best option to go with to withstand some weight?

Acrylic is pretty strong. But depends how long 1 shelf is going to be. If its going to be long then you need thicker sheet otherwise it will bend from the center assuming there is no center support. But I feel to be on the safe side, 10-15mm thickness should be enough.
