There's a lot more out there. Buffy/Angel/Dr. Horrible's sing-a-long Blog/Comics. He's done so much that you can completely lose yourself in his work, if you love it/him enough.

Like me.
:yess:

And his runs on Astonishing X-Men and Runaways if you're into comic books at all. There's Buffy comics, too, of course.

I want Morena Baccarin to be my next ex wife.

Inara is my second favorite character after Mal. Shindig, Trash, Heart of Gold...her part in War Stories...all have moments between them that feel to me as the true beats to the overarching story. The fact that she's the last person he talks to before he takes the bridge with River at the end of Serenity is the ultimate reinforcement.

It's a crying shame that Whedon didn't get to cast her in his Wonder Woman movie. Maybe Avengers will open that door again.

I would love if Whedon cast either of them in one of his next big projects - I loved them both. Torres was especially bad ass.

Am I the only one who liked Jayne? Even though he was a punk ass in one episode... I still liked him. :lol

Yes! When I worked at a comic shop I was reading Runaways.

Cobie Smulders was set to play Wonder Woman when it was being discussed.

WB/DC screwed up soooo badly by not greenlighting Joss's WW film.

Avengers will pass $1B worldwide this weekend. It sounds like Joss already has Avengers pt.2 worked out in his head from recent interviews.

He's a punk ass in a lot of episodes. But he's funny as hell.

:lol well a bigger punk ass in one especially than the others..

He's the one you love to hate but also love SO much. You can't REALLY hate him. He changes/grows as do most of Joss' characters.

exactly. i was always worried he'd be the one to die... so glad he didn't though. :lol

I posted this quote in the Avengers thread but it belongs here too.

But one trademark characteristic Whedon embraces in his work is his ability to unite groups of raggedy misfits against imminent evil. Led by anti-hero Capt. Malcolm Reynolds (Nathan Fillion), “Firefly’s” crew of lost space-wanderers exposed the misdoings of an interplanetary government that stepped out of line. A teenage girl and her “Scooby gang” of freaks and geeks saved Sunnydale and Earth from demons and demented gods in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” And now, in “The Avengers,” disparate superheroes worked through their egos and hangups, pulling together as a team to defend the planet against alien invaders.

So which misfit crew is Whedon’s favorite?

“You know, I love all my raggedy children,” he said. “But if I could be anywhere, I’d be on board Serenity.”

I would love for some new Firefly/Serenity..

Maybe another movie? Or a short series on Netflix?
