Yeah Nessa!!! Those pics are amazing.....and I am happy that you are having a little fella AND that you are healthy and so is the baby. Congrats girl!!! This is so awesome and it's wonderful that you are sharing all this information with us freaks...and taking us along on this incredible ride. :rock :rock :rock

That is soooooooooooooo awesome :D Congratulations to both of you. You must be very excited. Tons of little girls are daddy's girls. You are going to be soooooo loved with all those women haha. I am very very happy for you.

Oh my sympathy to your poor wife... I already at 20 weeks have trouble sleeping because I can only sleep on my back and now they tell me I am not allowed to sleep on my back. So like a good girl I try to sleep on my side... result... waking up in the middle of the night with no feeling in my hand because all the blood was shut off. lol :D That was sleeping on my left side... on my right side even worse... I seem to pinch a nerve in my shoulder every time I try to sleep on that side, result... whole right arm in constant pain. lol

I am sooooo excited for you guys though... less than two weeks away. That is soooooo awesome. I keep playing my little one sucking his thumb over and over again... and it tears me up every time. My next appointment is going to be on April 15th... but regular check up... I wish we could have an ultrasound every time. I so want to see our baby again.

Did you guys do a 3D or a 4D ultrasound? I am thinking about doing that.

Nessa I am so happy for both of you. Sean will be a lucky baby to have parents like you.
Here is an idea for your sleep problems. Perhaps these pillows might help

Hi Colleen... George bought me one of those as a present :D Here is a funny story. Last night I was so exhausted that I actually was sound asleep when George in his sleep rolled over and put his hand right in my face and grabbed my nose. Of course it woke me up and he was nicely snoozing away. He laughed so hard when I told him this morning... but of course I was awake and my mind started thinking again and could not sleep again. Sigh.

Still sleeping with the pillow I am trying it every night but I love to sleep on my back so it is hard to sleep on my side.

Thanks for the update Ness sounds like everything is going well apart from the sleeping. :) By the way luv your sig great way of looking at life.

Congrats Mith on the news of a beautiful girl. Are the other 2 older enough to know whats going on?That would be something special once u get to your second and beyond just seeing the reaction of the other kids.:D

Thanks Ness and Redman.

My son is 3 and knows that there is a baby in mama's belly, but says it is in an egg in mama's belly and is gonna pop out.

My daughter is 19 moths old and loves baby's. She held one for the first time over Easter weekend and did not want to put her down. You ask her where the baby is and points to mama's belly.

It'll be interesting to see if she gets jealous or not.

I've heard that one of the best ways to handle that is to get them involved with the new baby.

I guess it can go either way but having an older brother in the house already might help especially if he was ok with it all when she was born. :)

I know life sometimes can be hard... but no matter what bad things happen... you have to keep thinking positive because things will get better.

I felt my little critter move again today, it had been a few days since I felt him, but today driving to work he was really active. What a wonderful feeling... I am sooooooooooooo happy that I am pregnant. You have no idea. This is my most wonderful, precious gift ever. And the fact that I got my husband also of course :D

I love the way kids see things... so sweet and innocent. Kids :rock

True i've experienced it and i meant i like the sig cause thats kind of how i look at things.

Although i'm not carrying the baby and it's not quite the same i think i have some idea. It's a joyous feeling no doubt that can only get better :)

My wife has been getting kicked all over the place lately and hasn't got much sleep last couple of nights just trying to get comfortable.

I think it might be a boy with all that practicing of free kicks going on but then again could be a girl getting in early just to let us know she's having it her own way before she arrives.:D

Our little critter is the size of a banana or a large sweet potato right now. Am in my 21st week of pregnancy. Now I call myself bananamama :D. In the newsletter it says I should feel a lot more movement as of this week and the baby can hear my voice real good now so I should read for him and talk to him. I was wondering about me playing the music too loud while driving my car but I just found out that it does not get louder than the sound of a vacuum cleaner in the womb. So that is good to know.

Redman you should try and hang your wedding ring on a string and see if it goes in a circle or back and forth over your wifes belly. If you want to know what it is. Back and forth is boy... circle is girl :D

Only problem I am having is my back is killing me bigtime. Sitting down, laying down, no relief.

I am also having problems putting the baby registry thing together. I have no clue which bottles to get, what monitor, there are too many things out there. Even diapers you have a million choices. Arghhhhhh. :banghead

A woman came in the store today with her three month old baby boy. What a cutie and good baby he was. I told my critter... this is a good example to be for mommy later lol

dont change anything about your life noise-wise to conform to the baby.
We didnt and we have 2 dogs that go absolutely ballistic when people come to the door.
Alex is 5days old now and she can be in the same room soudns alseep and when the dogs launch on a tirade she doesnt even flinch. You can really tell she's used to hearing it.

That is great advise that I will definitely use. How is your little Alex doing? What a beauty :D

That's good advice. I would actually play loud music while my kids were babies just because I wanted them to be able to sleep soundly without being bothered by noise. I guess it worked since both of them are very sound sleepers.

I was watching Discovery Health yesterday and it was a show on newborns. What they said is that newborns NEED noise. That in the womb, there's fluid swashing around and it's ALWAYS noisy in there. When they come out, they're not used to NO noise and it scares them. That when the little one can't get to sleep, swirl them around and make water swishing noises and it will get them to sleep fast.

My mom actually told me she bought a little fur animal that makes the same noise that the baby hears in the womb... so it can be very comforting for him if I put it right outside the crib. Since I read you cannot put anything in the crib with the baby either. :D

Can you give me tips on which bottles are good for the baby? I am very overwhelmed and do not know which one to put in the registry... also tips on great babymonitors are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I think my baby will love oldies... been listening to oldies on my way home every day lol

she's doing great!
first doc appt was today and the doc said she's perfection.
although Im sure she tells all the parents that :lol

she's supposed to be back up to birth weight within 14days of delivery and she's there in 6.

we bought her one of these and it has a TON of sounds & songs it plays. Even one that sounds like in the womb water & heartbeat....

Wow that is awesome :) I have a different Graco swing already also. There is so much stuff out there it is crazy. I can believe why they say babies cost a lot of money lol.

We never put anything inside the crib but the but the Queen, Pink Floyd and Rush blaring over the basement speakers I'm sure was soothing. :monkey3
