Because I sell swing sets also, besides being the bookkeeper, I get to talk to a lot of moms and they say don't get fooled with buying too much stuff for the baby... half the things they say you need you never even use
No kidding! And don't overwhelm the poor kid with toys either... too much stimuli is bad for development of intelligence and imagination. I remember my little sister's favorite 'toy' was an old piece of leather... and it was a HUGE help when teething! She was born when I was 11, so I had a big part in taking care of her.
Those expecting - ask yourselves whether you want your kid to be able to have enough imagination to make a whole new world out of cardboard boxes and old bed linens, or if you want them to be bored silly by all the 'must-have' toys lining their closets.
But one can NEVER have too many books
And don't let the grandparents spoil them TOO much
