Because I sell swing sets also, besides being the bookkeeper, I get to talk to a lot of moms and they say don't get fooled with buying too much stuff for the baby... half the things they say you need you never even use![]()
No kidding! And don't overwhelm the poor kid with toys either... too much stimuli is bad for development of intelligence and imagination. I remember my little sister's favorite 'toy' was an old piece of leather... and it was a HUGE help when teething! She was born when I was 11, so I had a big part in taking care of her.
Those expecting - ask yourselves whether you want your kid to be able to have enough imagination to make a whole new world out of cardboard boxes and old bed linens, or if you want them to be bored silly by all the 'must-have' toys lining their closets.
But one can NEVER have too many books
And don't let the grandparents spoil them TOO much
