For some reason, I read that as "Prepare your ____."

Must've been because of those eyes.

EDIT: Stupid censorship. Take out the G from angus and you'll see what I tried to type.

:lol

My mind tricks are working. Better lock the doors at CVI.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

As you can see on the map, age comes into play with taste. Usually the older it is, the richer the taste. Young malts will taste more like vodka than anything.

Macallan is my fav in the zones you're interested in. I've tried Glenlivet and Glenfiddich and it wasn't smokey enough for me. You may want to try those two, then maybe the Macallan. If you're a member at Costco, they carry these three regularly it seems.

Then maybe at CVI we can have a dram of an older Talisker together to put some hair on your chest!

Glenfiddich and Glenlivet are floral, not really for me.

Was thinking Delwhinnie ; Oban, Clynelish All 14 or older.

Any ideas ?

Oh I plpan to try the Talisker for sure brother.

LOL.

Is Waller going to be the beer expert at C6?

SF would be great... I could visit my brother at the same time and pull double duty. The issue I have is traveling so far just for one thing seems like such a waste of money.

$2K to go to Celebration or SDCC (travel, food, hotels, hookers, etc)... or $2K of goodies for my collection bought off the internets :huh

Don't forget the memories of hanging with some good Freaks. Priceless.

And I bet Flosi could find us a deal on hookers.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Hmmmm... hanging out with freaks is not so exciting, but discounted hookers has my attention :lecture :lol

I personally don't taste a huge difference in anything at or below that rich/light line. There's slight differences, but I think that's why they're all grouped somewhat together on the chart vs the peaty stuff.

If you can find an Oban, it does give you more of an earthy tone, but only a little, imo. Of course, that may be a good starting point into a Talisker and such.

I still think Macallan may be your ending point.

I was looking at Oban 18 year or Distillers Or CLYNELISH Distillers

I would take Oban over Clynelish, personally.

Oban 18 is on the pricey side, but you should be able to find that one easily.

Yeah the Oban is like $140.00 18yr of course.

The other two are around $50.00

Wow, I just checked the price of Oban at Binny's, a local chain in IL, and they're pricing Oban 18yr at $99.99!

You'll have to let me know if you can find it for that price, otherwise I can bring you a bottle to CVI.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Holy Crap ! That is dirt cheap in comparison. I may have to take you up on that bro.

What does the 14 y/o cost ?

What about the Dalwhinnie 15 y/o ? That one is $55 here.
