re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

:drool

I love the Guinness line...Harp, Smithwick's and Guinness.

:lol Same here. I lost my Lando glass somehow. I think the wifey broke it, but she's not telling. :(

:rock:rock:rock

That glass is awesome, GB!

How's the doggie handling the change?

Just as I predicted she's very protective. We have lily in our room in a pack n play...when she whimpers or cries Keswick jumps off out bed to check on her. The only negative is when baby is really crying Keswick barks kinda loud and lily looks around like what's that noise.

The big Yoda mug is great, isn't it?

It is, a friend got it for me last year. I can hold a large coffee with ease which makes it a kickass mug :rock

Dude, I want both the new DX Batman and the Hulk but the threads are just so mind numbingly stupid!!! I post a couple times then float back here again.... I'm still fine with the DX 01 Joker.

I'm avoiding any Batman stuff... but Hulk will be mine and maybe that X-Men Wolverine. But aside from that the only figures I'm getting from any of the cons are Star Wars related :lecture

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I have the Enterbay 1/4 scale. Not all that impressed by it, personally. It'd be great to get all the Hot Toys Avengers and Dark Knight Rises stuff. Probably won't be happening, though.

Our dog did the same! It's crazy how protective they are. I have a pic of Bella watching our guy sleep when he was 3 months....one of my fav's by far since Bella was our "first" as well (and supposed to be our only after being told we couldn't have kids).

You're right about the barking, too! The faces on a newborn are priceless!

This is your safe place, isn't it?

I love SW the most, and most of my favorite people from the board post here, so yeah. :( :lol

I might be able to pass up the new DK Bats since I still love the original OC one so much... I'm suddenly thinking Hulk will be close to 500 for some reason... If that's the case I can do without that too.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yep, Hulk does look great but aside from the probably prohibitive price ;), I don't like it resembling the actor so much. Really only interested in comics versions of the Marvel stuff (though doesn't appear Sideshow wants to produce Marvel 1:6).

I'd be pretty bummed if Hulk is $500. That's way too much for something so simple.

That would be a tad ridiculous. I am banking on $400.

$500 doesn't sound so crazy now with the Mark VII price being $250.... HT has just about priced me out.

Dunno, don't think it will be quite that high as that's Iron Monger territory and that fig has exponentially more detail than Hulk would have.

Regardless, it will be expensive and at these prices, I either need to love the character or HT needs to do such a great job on it that it captures my imagination, like their SV War Machine. Never a big fan of Ironman, let alone WM, but just love the design, details and colour scheme. That said, I do like what they've done with Hulk but thankfully I'm not even tempted for the reasons I mentioned earlier.

Completely unrelated, but my day's been made by Peter Jackson announcing that The Hobbit will now be expanded to 3 movies, basically incorporating a lot of Tolkien's notes that he had written with more background stuff on Sauron and other characters. :woo

What is this hulk thing you speak of? Was he a pod racer or maybe at the gungan parade? ;)
Dang, wish he had pounced into that movie and Loki'd Jar Jar.

Hobbit as three movies is going to be brilliant. Can you imagine the 6 movie marathon to watch all the movies? Can't wait to introduce our daughter to the world of Tolkien.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yeah, can't wait to watch them all in sequence over the course of a week or so. Hope Jackson decides to do extended versions again, too, for the DVD/Blu-Ray release.

Don't have kids of my own, but I can imagine introducing them to great stories like the OT and The Hobbit/LOTR is one of the best rewards.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

The Hobbit is now 3 movies? Damn... that's a lot of film :lol

I actually just watched all 3 Extended Editions this last week while I was home. Really great to see them all in a row :rock

I have so much love for my son, I can only imagine how amazing it would be to see him after a few months apart...
