They've been saying that since the acquisition. We'd get Ep7, character movie, Ep8, character movie, Ep9. The rumored character movies have been either Yoda, Han or Boba Fett.

Yeah, they mentioned that a long time ago... Basically a regular movie followed by a character movie...

Solo Yoda movie
EP VIII
Boba Fett movie
EP IX
Han Solo movie

etc. etc... I just randomly picked character movies... they didn't mention who they would be.

They announced this months ago. Every 2 years, a new sequel (7,8,9 etc), and on the in-between years, a stand-alone film, like Yoda or Boba Fett etc.
