Dave already commented in the Premium Membership forum that he's already heard complaints about the rep system. I guess some people had rep removed from someone who didn't agree with them. He also mentioned that if Premium Members don't use it properly, it will likely go away. We're not mature enough for this stuff. It's like high school cliques all over again.

Dave already commented in the Premium Membership forum that he's already heard complaints about the rep system. I guess some people had rep removed from someone who didn't agree with them. He also mentioned that if Premium Members don't use it properly, it will likely go away. We're not mature enough for this stuff. It's like high school cliques all over again.

It's a completely pointless system that holds no bearing on anything. It's not like iTrader points where your performance is judged and can affect your sales/trades.

Okay, I need some help guys.

For anyone who didn't see my earlier posts (i'd just quote them but I'
m having a heckuva time navigating the new digs), I had a Commerce transaction with TakaraJin. I bought a "Brand New" HT Avengers Cap from him.

Got the figure, it was clearly opened, and damaged. I messaged him pics and descriptions. He said he bought it "new" off Ebay and never inspected it, so he sold it as new. UNlikely, but whatever. I shipped it back.

Before it was even delivered, he starts another thread selling a HT Cap that was described to him as MIB but turned out to be opened, but otherwise mint.

So, I made sure I got my refund (by contacting Paypal, not from him) and because I couldn't stop thinking about some other boardie going through the same thing, I posted my pics in his new sale thread saying "if this is the same figure you're re-selling, it is absolutely not mint" as well as the details I've just described.

Got a message from TakaraJin calling me "unfair." I finally left him a neg, so now of course, I received a retaliation negative.

I'm pretty pissed. My selling days are long behind me and I'll probably never buy anything here again, but I have an impeccable rep and I like to think I contribute to the community. This dude basically buys and sells **** here.

Is there anything I can do about this ridiculous negative feedback?

You remember when they had a rep system over on Spawn.com? Haha, it everntually got taken away cause people were always complaining to the mods when they got a negative rep point. And then it became so pointless that people started negative repping everyone for fun to where they had like 5 red bars at all times! hahaha. I'm sure this one will be taken away as well. Like you said, it's pretty much pointless.

Use the new reputation system and give him a negative rep! That'll show him! lol
Seriously though, that sucks. The guys is shady and I'd hope he'd want to be up front about the item to avoid any other conflicts in the sale. Hopefully a mod or something can remove the negative trader spot he gave you.

I don't think I can effect his rep without being a Premium member. I was all set to Premium up immediately but this is really bumming me out about this place. Total scammer activity and the guy can still neg me. I don't think I've ever left a negative before but I always hate it when someone posts a Bad Transaction thread and suddenly people come out of the woodwork with horror stories about the Buyer, but no one had the ***** to neg them before. I thought I was doing the right thing.

Click on the Forum link at the top. It's in an area called Private. It should be the first thread listed on the page that comes up after clicking Forum.
