Against my better judgement, one of my New Year's resolutions is to hang out at Flosi's Cantina…

Have you owned many? Or just her?

I know a girl who used to be, like, a cat charmer. She used to have barely a cent to her name, but managed to have at least two cats in her possession at any given time. Her dad had a farm and they must have kept around 20 strays.

I grew up around cats, and we've always had at least two - but I travel too much to have more than one. Boarding kennels are expensive and I wouldn't like to ask my cat-shy neighbour to look out for another one. I would've kept one of her kittens, but I ran over her when she was only a couple months old. That was years ago now, but I still feel crook about it. Maggie's getting on, but when her time comes I'll get us a pair. Kittens playing together is too hilarious to pass up.

My mom keeps trying to get me to take her dog. The cat wouldn't mind...

...but I'm a one pet person. Especially in an apartment (which is where I'll be when we sell this house).

My girlfriend is a dog person. We have a stupid little Chihuahua-cross. I understand the appeal of dogs, they just don't especially appeal to me. But he's a good guard dog (insofar as barking is a deterrent), so he earns his keep
