re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I never played D&D or any games like it, but I still liked the cartoon... it doesn't really have much to do with the game as far as I can tell.

Grab the bull by the horns Chien. Not saying she looks like a bull....:doh But hopefully she'll grab your horn. :lecture
:lol
You do get charged, they just don't ship it to you until you give the go ahead.
Ah, that sucks then... No wonder I never use Pile of Loot.

Repped for trying to buy D&D!
Sorry about your illness
My first date with my wife was when the east coast lost its power. We dated again and next month will be our 10th anniversary.
Ah, that explains a lot. No power, so she couldn't see what you looked like. Therefore she agreed to a 2nd date! Not sure why she went for a 3rd, 4th, etc. :dunno
This was on from 83-85. Great time. High time for D&D.

You will get it ! *adds yoda voice*
:thwak Yoda would say "Get it, you will!" If you're gonna talk like Yoda, do it right! :lecture
When I got home from my interview I sent out 13 cold call resumes to local catering companies. Our biggest competitor just called and wants to talk to me tomorrow. :clap
Sweet! You can give them all of the trade secrets to bring your old company to the ground! MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :monkey3
:panic: OMG!! STAN LEE is going to be at C2E2 this year!! :panic: I need to make sure to meet him!! I've always wanted to but he hasn't been around here often! :yess:
Awesome! I met him at SDCC, but I was in such awe I don't think we spoke one word to each other! I have so many regrets about that. This was at the Sideshow booth.
I like it except for the ROTJ being completely wrong... I get the intent, but it should have been Luke's hilt. I'd even overlook Vader and Luke's not being the same, but not ROTJ... that's just lazy.
How did I miss that! :slap I'm a sucky fan...
Isn't that one in Chicago? I've actually met him twice. Both times was in the same day at Comic-Con and I managed to get his auto on a Spideman Comic.
Did he sign it for FREE?!?!?!?!
Wow, you are right... I didn't even notice it was all the same hilt. Fail.
Epic.
Nerd.

Pyro.

Nerd.

I thought the colors were pretty.
Dazzled by the pretty colors, distracting you from the details...
Thanks for the Rancher guys! :D
My pleasure! I was partly responsible for that! :hi5:

I played, but years after the cartoon. I loved that cartoon! I was so sad when then made it home through some underground river the flowed up, but went back cuz Eric was left behind with Uni.

Holy crap, did I just do a 13 post multi-quote??? A record for me!!! That deserves some reps!!! :monkey3

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

It just occurred to me that most of us have more ranchers than DDave. He has 5. :lol I would rep him, but I don't want him to be upset if I do.

Big strides for someone who up until a month ago never multi-quoted. Congrats!

Ummm... "You will be.... You will be !"

- ESB !
Sooo, you're saying there was inconsistency in Yoda's dialogue? How dare you, sir! I'm going to call Frank Oz right now and ask him which is correct... And what his address is. And if I can get his autograph... And Yoda prototype items. As well as Miss Piggy and other Muppet prototypes... So there! :monkey3

You didn't even know it was coming? Congrats!!! At my company, we have to twist arms for raises! You should celebrate by buying a new collectible!

Well, we used to kinda get a small cost of living raise every year like 3% or something, but when the economy tanked years ago we had to stop doing that and we all understood as we were all just happy to have a job. Since then we maybe got one or two more small ones, and one year a bonus check of sorts that equalled out to what another small raise would've been for the year. But several of those years we never got any raise at all, but like I said, we are all just happy to still have jobs. I wasn't expecting anything this year again, but then Angie said, "did you see we got a raise." so I checked and sure enough! And it's higher than the regular cost of living one so that's extra cool.
It's kinda understood that if they can afford to give us a small raise they will, and if not it will have to wait. Which is nice cause you never really have to beg for one like you mentioned, and it's not really performance based... if it was I think 90% of the people there would get pay cuts. haha. But those that stand out as excellent workers sometimes get a nod from the warehouse manager to the boss and he'll toss them a little extra. It's a good system I think.

Last time I noticed, he didn't have any. I figured since he was the admin, he was immune to rep. I guess not.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I've given up trying to keep up with the thread.

So I've seen ROTJ probably 50 times and I just noticed that Chewie actually gets shot on the skiff. I also just fully appreciated how badass Luke is walking into Jabba's palace. It's funny how much you take for granted living with these movies your whole life (or most of).

Sounds like you work for a decent company. I guess my company used to be awesome to work for. We got bought out by a publicly traded company 6 months after I started, then it really went down the ****ter. Same thing happened at my previous job. First 1.5 years were awesome, then they got bought out by a publicly traded company, and then it sucked. Publicly traded companies suck!!! Too many rules, and they're all about keeping the profits. The employees get jack!

Chewie got shot??? :panic::panic::panic: I've seen ANH and ESB way more times than ROTJ. I always intend to watch the whole trilogy, then only make it through the first 2.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I chickened out. Didn't ask the girl to hang out. Strangely, we got into the baby name conversation, though. Pretty weird.

Delusions of grandeur.
