It means I get in a lot cheaper! I submitted the stuff I am doing for that app, the artwork and creative development of it and whatnot and was approved as a professional creator! And hopefully the app will be up and running by then so I can peddle it around a bit!

With you guys permission (or likely without it), I'm going to start reposting some of the cooler finds from this one great thread over on astromech. Of course, 90% of the things will be droid related. But at least most of it is OT, and it will give you all a nice break from my C1 obsession...

Chris Foss art (credited both 1973 and 1977 so unsure of actual date of image)

In Star Wars, there's a robot in the line-up with the sandcrawler when they're buying R2-D2 and C-3PO…I did do a homage, because I felt I should, to Chris Foss, because he did some very early designs for that and he was always a favourite of mine. So I made one and designed it up out of scrap as if it might have been in a Chris Foss painting, and that was my homage to him, because I always thought he was a genius as an artist. from an interview with production designer ROGER CHRISTIAN

I knew it! I was called out yesterday for still being able to rep, even though I'm not Premium. Well, now this morning I can't. The star is gone... I knew that was gonna happen. Yeah, work really is but finding good paying art jobs is 1 in a trillion. Most artists barely get by. You're better to do it on the side, bro. With your deviantart site and now being a Topps artist, you should apply for a professionals badge at SDCC. You'd probably get it. Keep building up your portfolio and you and Thom should get a table there together. I super serious, you guys have some crazy ****ing skillz...

I don't get a guest pass. It's different than SDCC.
I'm working on a superhero fighting app of sorts, more like an RPG I guess as there is no real animation or anything for the start. I've been developing it with my brother in law. He's doing all the techy geek stuff, I'm doing all the comic-y arty nerd stuff like writing all the missions, creating the characters, doing the artwork, etc.
