OMG! HOT TOYS IS PUTTING OUT ANOTHER IRON MAN FIGURE!?!?!

Seriously, I'm ****ing tired of their ****. Announcing properties years ahead and either blowing them off or taking forever to release them. They're a joke...

I've been more interested in Sideshow's releases lately. The Star Wars and DC stuff has been keeping me occupied.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Well, it is from the critically acclaimed and fan-favorite Iron Man 2.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I wasn't impressed with Iron Man 2, but then Iron Man 3 came out.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Iron Man 3 is worth seeing? I enjoyed the first, meh'd the second and didn't bother with the third.

IMHO, no. I watched it once but wouldn't watch it again.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I didn't like it at all, but there was a very vocal group of members here who did. It's probably best to watch it and decide for yourself I'd say.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Nah, I trust you guys - unless the third has any cool surprises instead of delivering on a worn-out formula then I'll save my two hours. I do have ballz to scratch, they take priority. :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Thanks, Rich! I am supposed to start Monday, though another massive snowstorm may prevent that.

Basically the same distance from home as my last job (about 40 minutes drive), 8 thousand more a year, better hours (out at 4:30), and all the school holidays that my wife has. I'm kind of terrified at how lucky I (hopefully) have been.

Well done!

Got my model train set today. Just as much fun as I remember when I was little. My 18 month old loved it as well. Now to plan a track layout and get some plywood.

I just slashed my thumb open with a razor blade trying to trim down a piece of thick paper. It's bleeding like a mofo. I tried to explain to my wife that an erection would divert blood from my thumb and possibly save my life. Charity BJ FAIL. :(

Honestly, I like IM2 better than most (the obvious Walt Disney references didn't hurt). I actually thought IM3 was great. In my experience, the general public didn't give **** about Iron Man until RDJ played him and even the comic geeks I know didn't give **** about the Mandarin until they were suddenly outraged that he was not treated with reverence by the IM3 filmmakers. I think if you like a decent action movie and don't care about comic continuity, give IM3 a try. It was more entertaining to me than the last Thor movie, of which I can remember nothing.

Well done!

Thanks!

I love Cap, but I am done with art and posters unless it's a Flosi or yo nose one. So I am sitting out.

Sorry about your thumb, but that's the funniest thing I've read all week! :rotfl

I don't really remember, but I'm thinking like $200-$300 when I shipped 4 of them and a mannequin. I believe they are located in Georgia so it might be cheaper for you.

Yup!
Sooo, is the mannequin for entertaining yourself when Angie is out of town?

Iron Man 3 is worth seeing? I enjoyed the first, meh'd the second and didn't bother with the third.
It was OK. I was entertained. Ghandi made another great performance. That's enough for me. But it was probably the worst of the Marvel films (not counting the Bana Hulk)...

Now to lay out and get some wood.
:horror

Yeah, I need to cut back too. I buy way too much art, and display very few. I plan on rectifying that, but I certainly shouldn't acquire more, unless it's something I absolutely have to have. For instance, the next Trevas Celebration print, since I have faith it will be awesome.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Damn collectibles room isn't going well. I bought some nice stands to use instead of the gigantic eFX bases, but the Vader helmets are still too big for the Besta with doors on. Do I go without my glass doors and have Vader poke out a little in the front or do I take the back off and let him hang out back where it won't be as noticeable and I can still use my glass doors? :panic:

I took the back off and now the cabinet is fairly unstable (wobbles to the left and right). I could use L brackets to stabilize it. I also thought about tacking the back to the very back instead of the slide-in area which would gain about .75 inches. I just don't know how well that would look. :dunno
