re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I've actually been toying with the idea of getting the GG statue. But I'm not sure if it is even out yet. GG and their delays. But I like the look of that one. The Medicom, not so much. I do want the PF from SS too, but not Threepio...

Oh, and very light preliminary research at work last night revealed that an R2 unit could be constructed for between $150 (yeah, right) and $1600. But when I spoke with the builders at each of the last two Celebrations, their figures were significantly higher, as high at ten thousand. Just depends on the level of detail and the materials you choose to incorporate...

Champagne taste, and beer bottle pockets, and all that. :lol

I think I've heard $4000-5000 is about average. :(

The lastest GG email said the week of January 21st for R2.

Changed my avatar and signature to reflect my new insanity...

There's always something to collect. I thought I'd be doing good just getting the occasional Sideshow Imperial figure. Now I've been eyeballing some classic videogames. I bought some classic systems a couple years back, so now I'm looking for some games to play on them. :panic:

True, I have the collecting bug, and damn UT for reminding me of my love for Artoo! But I think this might actually stick. It's a very long term project, which could teach me a thing or two about persistence. But honestly, aside from finishing my BFA years ago, my MO is to drop everything midstream. However, I am just one semester away from mounting my personal Everest and getting my new degree in Radiation Therapy. So maybe, just maybe...

I know the fealing I bought a NES a couple years ago just so I could play some tecmo and battletoads LOL. Cost me much less then when I originally had an NES years ago.

I've become this way with comics. I built a DC trade paperback library and swore that when the shelves were full, that would be it. I managed to cut back on a lot of what I wanted.

Then the Marvel bug hit. I need new shelves. :monkey2

I'm scared of dust with Legos here in the desert. But I love my new R2 regardless and he's gonna go in the protected glass enclosed Bestas really soon.

I'm actually grateful you have led me down the dark path of astromech again though UT!
