re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Never had it before. Neighbors brought a bottle back as a Christmas gift when they went up there for holidays. I'll let you know how it is. :wave

Cool! Nice neighbors!

Is that hand signed or just a facsimile?

Speaking of Sith, I wonder if there would ever be a Bith Sith. Imagine him playing music in the cantina and when trouble breaks out, his instrument turns into a lightsaber.

Hmmm....

Mine will be better ;)

I'm ready for a beer right now. :gah:

Last night was the inspection for our prospective house. Thank God it was raining - the inspector's flashlight glistened beautifully on all the water running into the attic through the completely useless roof. :thud:

Househunting sucks my bawls.

Is it bad that I'm planning what beer to drink with our expected snowfall tonight?

Leaning towards this...

I've been planning my beer out for days. That happens when you only get one cheat day a week. :(

Hmmm....

Mine will be better ;)

I bet so. Not sure it's smart of him to play that while it's ignited. :lol

Oh ****, Thom.... Sorry. Are you guys just backing out? Is it Bank Owned? Maybe they can slap a new roof on? :lol

All depends how they respond to the report and our requests. We were at the top of our "do-able" price range so we're not interested in immediately dropping more $$$ into extensive repairs. At the same time, we don't want the owners doing half-hearted repairs just to get a sale.

:dunno Better to find out now, right?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

That sucks! But it is better finding out now than later on.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Just get a credit for the repairs and you can pick who you want.
You may have to get a couple of estimates to establish the credit amount, or just ask for somewhere between 5-10k, depending on how many sq ft the roof is.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yeah, when my wife and I bought our first townhouse 15 years ago we needed a new roof. We were told to get 3 estimates and the seller would pay the average cost. We wound up finding an even cheaper quote after we bought the house and saved some $$$.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Yeah, those are the options. We are concerned because the seller was really firm on the price so we're just waiting to see what they come back with. If they are cooperative it could definitely work out. Just an unexpected bummer.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Understand that. Getting back the inspection report can be a kick to the nuts. :lol

Not as bad, though, as when you find things a couple of years down the road that the inspector didn't. :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

It's just as well. I totally forgot to wear my Inspector Gadget t-shirt.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Picked up some Dogfish Indian Brown Ale for later. You know you're turning into a beer snob when you're like "woah, six beers for only $10? BARGAIN."

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Enjoying the Brown but it doesn't touch the Palo Santo Maron, IMO. I've become quite a fan of Dogfish Head in the past couple of months.
