Someone convince me that I dont want to buy Rocket and Groot.

You WANT to buy Rocket and Groot.

I love Groot so much, I avoided eating vegetables today cause it reminds me of him. :(

Now I know how Peta and my vegetarian friends feel about animals. :rotfl

If Rocket came with a shouting head sculpt I wouldve already flexed.
I still eat my veggies haha

You don't want them. Don't branch out into Guardians of the Galaxy. It's not your focus. Don't give in to the dark side (Hot Toys)

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Fury, what's the draw in this? Not trying to be an ***, just curious really. I understand not everybody wants a 4K sq ft ginormous house, but I'm curious what the benefit is of going so far in the other direction?

For me, the draw is to live more simply and purposefully. To look inward for happiness, rather than to material belongings. To find the difference between comfort and excess, basic needs and mere desires. It likely stems from three things, personally. First, my Zen practice, which strongly iterates the idea of impermanence and that we can't take it with us when we leave this plane of existence. Second, my unemployment last year, and subsequent loss of home, car, 401k, etc. And lastly, an interest in spending more meaningful time with my partner, with less need to work all the time to be able to pay rent, gas, electric, trash, sewer, water, landscaping, etc. etc. etc. Our electric bill was over $250 last month!

And yes, I'm working like a maniac right now. Partly to get my foot in the door of the therapy world. But also to catch up after last year... ;)

:lecture Loved our really liked Guardians.

Didn't appreciate Guardians at all and therefore cannot understand the conflict.
But....but... they're cool......
Ultimately you need to buy what you like. If you love the movie/characters then you will find joy out of the characters and figures for some time time come. You are at a point in your life where you can branch out and enjoy many properties. This may change for you as you get older. Enjoy it now if you are able.

I for one loved the approach taken with the movie but am not in that point of life where I can go full in like you may be able to. But even I know I enjoy the characters of Gamora and Nebula and would like to get them to flank a Thanos that we know is coming.

Just my two cents.

The new question I ask myself is, "Will (insert potential purchase here) have the lasting effect of Star Wars?" As of right now, not much fits that category, which is making my discipline much easier.

Just trying to play devil's advocate. You must do what you feel is right, of course...

Just my two cents.
Two cents isn't nearly enough to buy those figures. :dunno But if everyone on the entire board gave Cody two cents, perhaps...

I'm with you. I need to cut back and focus more. It isn't because of money. Space is the issue for me. I can't possibly appreciate everything if I don't even have the space to display everything I already own. I already buy way more than I should. I need to spend more time unloading the crap I have that I wish I didn't have. Unfortunately a lot of it is worthless. But purge I must.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I just picked out my movie for tonight. I don't know if I ever saw it. Surely I must have, but I just don't remember it. You guys keep talking about it, and of course I own it... And one of you is named after a character in it... I don't think I even need to name it. You all know what I'm talking about. My BD was sealed, so I will bust it open and pop it in...

That's my approach but obviously with stuff from The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. There are lots of things I'd like its the hard part of being at Comic-Con is seeing so many cool things but it won't stay around like my Middle-earth stuff so whats the point. Its what keeps me from ordering things even if I can possibly flip it.

Hmm if I asked this only SW, Superman and maybe Game of Thrones would make the cut.. Indy and Gandalf to lol.
