re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I think if I had 3 mil to spend on a comic book I still wouldn't.

Especially one that's been reprinted a thousand times. I love comics but never understood the appeal of the whole "1st Printing" thing. It's the same ****ing story not matter what printing. I'd rather just have a TPB or Omnibus.

I agree. If it was the original artwork or similar, I could at least understand the historical significance. But comics to me are always about the experience of following the story more than any kind of ownership or collectibility. But I buy dolls, sooooo... :lol

But, I thought you stopped buying dolls. :lol

And yes, the original art would make sense for that kinda scratch. I'd love to own more original art but that ****'s maaaad expensive.

WELCOME BACK!!! I missed your super-ultra-mega multiquotes. ;)
I'll work on rectifying that!

I know. So sad. I see he was directing something now, too. But not in Jurassic World.
Loved his character in JP. What's interesting is that his character in the book was an ***hole.
Really? JP was a book?
I probably knew that. I knew Michael Crichton wrote it...

7 mins left. Anyone else planning on sniping this steal of a deal?
I won!!! Almost got outbid...
Auction ended at $3.2 million. Wonder how much eBay will get of that. :panic:
They have a max fee. I want to say $2500.
eBay got so much publicity from that auction and the proceeds are going to charity so I wouldn't be shocked if eBay waived most of the fees if not all of them.
Interesting... But I'm sure they are still getting paid, at least partially ... They are greedy bloodsuckers...

Technically I haven't broken my dollyvow, though my Star Lord waitlist did convert yesterday. But I could have said LEGOs.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

LEGO is easier to drop than figures, well it is for me anyways. I haven't bought a set since The Simpsons House and really haven't been tempted by anything that's been released lately.

Crap, I'm a liar. I still really want the Ecto-1. :slap

I'm glad you found her when she went missing that one time. If that's her nature, there's not much you can do about it.

That's part of why I'm not too concerned. She dealt with high population density for 11 days as a kitten. Lots of vehicle and foot traffic. She survived.

I wouldn't mind letting my cats out a little bit, but the one runs around in the bushes and the neighbor's yard. She brought in fleas last year. I worry about worms, fleas, ticks, coyotes, and crazy kids.

There's a lot less nature around here, although there are other cats in the neighborhood and she's little. But, she's also a ninja, so...

This is how you do the ice bucket challenge. :rock

Are they an item? (Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes.)

My cats are all indoor cats. The oldest was an outdoor rescue and he still tries to get out but we keep him inside. They're all de-clawed so it's for the own safety more than anything.

Where I lived before was too perfect to keep her inside. There was danger of foxes, coyotes, hawks and owls, but she managed to live. Thrive, actually. It's felt cruel keeping her in at my new place, so now it's between her and fate.

I completely understand. Half of my childhood was spent at my Grandparent's farm in the middle of nowhere. All their pets were outdoor only and if I didn't live in the suburbs I would consider it too.

Its either someone care about the historical value of the piece or someone who just wants to have something most cant have. I guess #2.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

you stopped LEGO??

No! In fact I saw the Tumbler assembled today and we wants it! And I think it should be accompanied by the Volk van and Cooper Mini. :)

My "collection" is so tiny I could drop everything but I'll never stop checking out what's coming. It's exciting when something cool gets announced even if I have no interest.

At this point I don't even consider myself a collector. I have so many interests I have been in a holding pattern trying to decide on one thing to really commit to.

Doesn't sound like she's worth your time, but as I know from experience, it's easier said than done.
