I feel like there used to be a nice gap between 1/6 figure and 1/4 & 1/5 statue prices, but as 1/6 stuff got more and more popular that price gap closed in quite a bit so almost nothing from Sideshow/Hot Toys is a really decent value product for your dollar anymore. It's disappointing seeing seeing these prices, but they keep pushing them up and up and people keep buying. It's kind of disappointing. Those Deadpool and Godzilla prices were a real reality check in regard to the direction Sideshow's going.

It might get to the point where I just collect X-Plus vinyl Godzilla figures until too many people get into paying ridiculous aftermarket for those and that segment of the hobby gets ruined as well. I can already see it starting to happen, but there should be at least a few good years left in it.

I do! I just thought buying individual seasons was going to be cheaper. No big deal.

That sounds expensive at first, but then I realize I pay $30-$40 for blu-ray seasons of other shows individually. I mean, there are like 9 seasons of Supernatural out now.

I'm with ya. The price of figures has just gotten too crazy. I just can't look at a figure and think the prices on those are "worth" it compared to what I'm paying for some pretty awesome stuff from Weta.

Yeah. I got the Alien Quadrilogy blu-ray set for $10. That was quite a deal.
