re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I should have got you the other three volumes this past weekend at WonderCon, because I saw them for half price, so only $12.50 each!

Nice. The first one is only $16.50 at amazon, and I don't know how much I'll read past the first three volumes. Those alone will have me occupied for a while.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

That's like six times my normal average! I was doing about 2000 per year, then bam, 1000 in March of 2013!

Approaching Joshness! :lol

You do know, I'm unemployed now, right? :dunno

I hope so. Unless you're one of those guys that works for Sideshow and posts here just to defend their treachery and shenanigans. For those guys, 1000 posts a month is nothing. I heard they don't even get their first free statue until they've hit 1000 in a week.

One for Waller. And to show off my good taste in original comic art:

Very nice. I love Mouse Guard too!

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

That's beautiful art. Reminds me of Arthur Rackham.

I have the Free Comic Day book from a few years ago (split with Dark Crystal). I should read it.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Then there was one backed up to Fraggle Rock, and then last year, the first free hardcover for a free comic book day!

Go Mouse Guard! :D

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I would never have known about it if it hadn't been for that free Dark Crystal book. I think I'm going to get the Fall and Winter 1152 hardcovers next paycheck.

I found a Rackham drawing that kinda shows what I meant. (Obviously there's a lot of distance between them, but it's a good excuse to pimp a legend...)

I saw the artist at Emerald City Comic Con several years ago, in fact he seems to come regularly. I am a sucker for anthropomorphic characters so I gave Fall 1152 a chance.

You got a long way to go newb. :) :nana:

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I would love to see that. I have been reading Usagi Yojimbo since the late 80's (my mother enjoyed reading it too!). I have all the TPBs to date and the statues from Roku Toys.

This is the tip-in artwork from the volume "Bridge of Tears." I'm woefully behind on reading all of my comics, since making it into my radiation therapy program. Everything else pretty much fell by the wayside. But I am ecstatic to have this framed up beautifully on my living room wall. Plus Stan Sakai is such a kind soul. Although he normally does not sell interior pages to any of the issues, he will sell the color covers and tip-in artwork.

This piece is just gorgeous:

Like I told Waller, it's a long way from China, and when I finally let the Gamorrean out of the box, he was very hungry...

Finally back from vacation! Man, am I EXHAUSTED! furystorm wore me out... Too make "naked time" apparently. :horror

Whoa, maximum panics! Me like. :D

If I was smart, I woulda bought them. But I didn't want to have to carry them back with me. My luggage ended up being full enough. I bought a lot of stuff at Downtown Disney... If that place is at c2e2, I will buy them at 50% off for sure...
