re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

If I could draw like that, I wouldn't be working help desk tickets five days a week. :(

If you could draw like that you'd still be working help desk tickets. :lol Or at the very least construction accounting.

Flo's got some skillz. He was on the US Olympic Doodle team. We got creamed by the Japanese, of course, but he made us proud.

So damn out of practice now... I need to get back to the post-its. At least then I was doing a little something everyday. Should we give it a go?

I want a FLOSI doodle!!

Wait, that didn't sound too good. :lol

I'll send you a dodle, Chien. What do you want?

I'd love to see a Flosi Amanaman.

I think I posted one in the Post-It thread last year... Pretty sure it sucked. :lol

One more thing:

It seems the most enigmatic Jedi of them all was originally not quite so enigmatic.

It's been 33 years since Yoda was first introduced in the second Star Wars film, The Empire Strikes Back. Since then he's appeared in four more Star Wars flicks and countless books, comics, videogames and more. But through all that, we've never been told his species, his place of birth or why the hell he talks like that. He's always just been, well ... Yoda. But apparently, like many characters in the Star Wars universe, Yoda was originally going to be something more.

George Lucas originally intended "Yoda" to be the character's surname. His first name was going to be ... wait for it ... Minch. That's right, the coolest Jedi of them all was originally going to be a dude known as "Minch Yoda."

Luckily for all of us, Lucas eventually pared down the name, adding to Yoda's ever-present mystery. The name "Minch" did end up making a Star Wars appearance, though. Minch was another Jedi master, also of Yoda's species, who lived 700 years before the Battle of Yavin and first appeared in the story "Heart of Darkness" in the Dark Horse comic Star Wars Tales #16, first published in 2003. So, in the end, we got a Minch and we got a Yoda, but we avoided a Minch Yoda.
Soooo, what you're saying is all I have to do is pick up that one comic, and I'll have a COMPLETE Minch collection? Now that's an easy focus! Very do-able!

"You seek Minch" has a bad ring to it. We dodged a bullet. :lol

3:00 for me..:)

well after "yoda" being engrained in our minds after all these years it would sure seem that "minch" is rather ridiculous............but...........if it had been "minch" back when........who knows, "yoda" might sound equally as dumb as well today....:dunno

i shall ponder this over many beers today and into the evening and hopefully come to a rational conclusion..........:lol

I can't drink tonight. I gotta pack and prepare for C2E2, then go to bed early, since I gotta leave at 5am. :(

I have no sympathy for you since you're going somewhere fun. :nana:

Exactly. I'm missing both the Chiller Theatre horror con and NJ Toy Show this weekend.

A buddy did snag me Bruce Boxleitner's auto for my Tron collection at C2E2 today, so that's a plus.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I figured I'd post this here since I think some of you will enjoy this and not find me totally nuts for doing this. I like numbers and and seeing where certain things stand when organazing things. So while the kids are being good today with testing and I am actually able to relax my mind for a bit. I was looking at the top 30 posters on the board and was curious of the top 30 how did it break down by year. I also did this because I was bored. :lol
