He's on Pandora.

I wonder why Cameron's making those Avatar sequels at this point. I heard they got delayed yet again. Makes me think people won't care about Avatar when and if it's finally ready to be released.

He's got a billion dollars to play with and no one to tell him no. Cameron does what ever the **** he wants at this point.

He should show these other directors how to make a good Terminator movie instead of making more wildberry pop tart alien movies.

Terminator needs to be done and over with forever. The premise is played out and nothing will top T1 and T2.

I figure if Cameron is happy doing Avatar movies, I'm cool with that. I liked Avatar, it wasn't a cinematic masterpiece, but it was fun. I look forward to what he does next.

Got my returns!

Nice man... some really good ones. And I think the Space Slug is my favorite from that series, a very clear and strong image.

Yeah, seems like the movie should just be a stand alone. I'll go see any sequels, but I really don't think they'd be worth a damn.

Totally agree about Terminator. 3 was godawful and the new one looks like it might be even worse... Salvation was okay, but I've never felt the need to rewatch it. The wife is excited about the new Terminator though, so it looks like I'll be seeing it :lol

I also like Avatar, I think it's become an easy movie to hate for a lot of people. But I think it's a very solid and entertaining flick. Sure, somethings could have been done better and it's clearly "inspired" by Fern Gully and Dances with Wolves, but those are both good movies too... so why not mash them up in a far away planet :huh

I didn't dislike it, but I haven't seen it again since I first saw it in the theater either. I think the public might not care anymore kind of like how it went with the Sin City sequel.

I don't know. Aliens and the first two Terminator movies are some of my very favorites of all time. I wish we could get more stuff in the spirit of those films from him.

Yeah Cameron knows how to make a solid movie. Its not gonna be The Godfather, but you can almost rest assured it will be well made and entertaining. Titanic isn't my type of movie, but I can't say its a bad movie, it's perfect for what it is meant to be. When he is passionate about something, he seems to always deliver.

I don't see a reason why people won't be excited to see it. Aside from the hyperbole hate that the movie got on this board, its a vocal few who like to hate it, you can't deny the global appeal it had. I think the general public will show up in mass to see at least the first sequel.

I thought visually it was stunning. The sense of depth really pulled you in !

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I don't know. It's going to be like 8 years between the first and second. Seems like a long time. You could be right, though. I'm sure I'll see the sequel when it comes out anyway.
