Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie - 3 volume set :panic: :panic: :panic:

Ralph McQuarrie is the most iconic artist in the history of Star Wars. He worked hand-in-hand with George Lucas to help establish the saga’s visual aesthetic, its inimitable look and feel. Beyond designing Darth Vader, C-3PO, and R2-D2, McQuarrie produced hundreds of pieces of Star Wars artwork, including conceptual paintings, costume designs, storyboards, and matte paintings, as well as posters, book covers, and album covers—even Lucasfilm’s annual holiday cards—all rescanned and rephotographed for this book.

In Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie, readers will find the most definitive collection of the artist’s Star Wars work ever assembled, including hundreds of never-before-seen illus*trations. Rare unpublished interviews, as well as recollec*tions from McQuarrie’s colleagues and friends, complement and contextualize the art. Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie is a comprehensive tribute to cinema’s most beloved and influential concept artist.

Ordered McQuarrie! :yess:

Ordered the McQ set. Looks awesome.
I'm waiting for the inevitable 30% off Amazon books coupon, which does work on pre-orders. They've done it each of the last 2 years in November...

Oh. I thought it was for the Lynch version :lol I only bought the doc out of curiosity about the movie that was never made.
I bought that a few months ago as well, but haven't watched it yet...

Pacific Rim 2 indefinitely postponed?!?!?!?! :gah:

I'm cruising for a bruising with Adopted... :lol

Maybe I'll get a nice vacation out of calling dumbasses out. Won't bother me.
I'm thinking of taking a vacation to Las Vegas later this year... The Wynn sent me an offer I may not be able to refuse... I haven't been there since I moved my storage unit in 2009.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

This is why I don't leave the cantina! It's not safe out there!!!

I like movies. THis is the only forum I go to. I don't ever begrudge anybody their opinion but the negative trolling shouldn't be the norm with an attempt at actual discussion being an affront to the system. It literally started because this dummy posted "GDT's getting all his projects canceled :lol" and I asked "why's that funny?"

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I need to stay and only talk to nice people.

I have all but eliminated my FB presence, for everybody;s info. SO if you don't see me don't be insulted. Basically just using it for family now. Social media is not for me.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Also I want my final post count to read 12345 and I had my art thread deleted so I took a hit.

Re: (WALLER'S Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

A nice new coat of paint on the wall is always a nice touch. ;)
