I really really hope this isn't a turd. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and I don't think I can handle another disappointment like those horrible prequels.

This is where the cool guys/old timers go to talk about Star Wars...Kenner, Sideshow, Gungans, young Anakin ghosts, warts and all come to hang out. Be cool or leave (no DC forum BS por favor), because we don't serve your kind. Don't delete this thread, please.

Nice concept...

Deak, did you realize you edited this post almost exactly to the minute four years after originally posting it? That's so fury....

The Force Awakens premier tickets bought and paid :yess:

Already? I don't think theatres here have started yet.

NM... Looks like the ordering starts today and there are some awesome promotions:

If that’s not enough, tickets for the highly anticipated film will also go on sale tomorrow for showings in theaters across the globe. Check out the list below to see how some theaters will be celebrating this momentous occasion with special events and exclusive giveaways.

Star Wars Marathon Event

The Star Wars Marathon Event is the ultimate fan experience. All seven movies. One epic journey. Guests will see each of the six previously released Star Wars episodes in digital 2D beginning with The Phantom Menace and concluding with the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 3D! Guests will also receive a lanyard featuring exclusive marathon art. Coming December 17.

* See below for list of participating theaters.

Regal Cinemas

Star Wars Saturdays: Each Saturday, from December 19 to January 9, at Regal theatres the first 500 guests who experience Star Wars: The Force Awakens in IMAX will receive a collectable ticket featuring unique Star Wars: The Force Awakens art. New art will be revealed each week.

AMC Theatres

Star Wars Sundays: Each Sunday, from December 20 to January 10, guests who purchase a ticket to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens in IMAX 3D will receive an AMC-exclusive Star Wars print from artist Dan Mumford. A new poster will be revealed each week.

Also, join the celebration at Walt Disney World as AMC Theatres and Disney Parks celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Opening Night Event will take place on December 17, where participants will be among the first to see the new film at AMC Disney Springs 24 and then celebrate together at a private after-hours party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Tickets are available online only at AMCtheatres.com/StarWarsWDW

Cinemark

Cinemark is giving fans the opportunity to receive a pair of exclusive RealD 3D Star Wars glasses. There are three ways guests can get these collectable glasses: By attending the Star Wars Marathon Event on December 17. By attending the first show of Star Wars: The Force Awakens Thursday 12/17 in Cinemark XD, or with the purchase of a Star Wars concession combo, coming in November.

Alamo Drafthouse

As part of the advanced ticketing promotion at participating Alamo Drafthouse locations, you can snag two exclusive, limited Star Wars: The Force Awakens collectible items: an officially licensed Mondo-designed pint glass and the first ever, double-sized collector’s issue of their very own magazine, BIRTH. MOVIES. DEATH., celebrating 40 years of the Star Wars saga!

El Capitan Theatre

The film will be presented in DOLBY VISION – a state-of-the-art laser projection system that delivers richer colors and distinctly brighter images while preserving deep and dark blacks. When combined with DOLBY ATMOS sound technology, which creates moving audio that surrounds you in three-dimensional space, the picture and sound will excite your senses and inspire your emotions with breathtaking realism.

Fans will also be immersed in an extensive display of costumes and props from the making of the movie and see an all-new laser lightsaber curtain show.

And on opening day one, pick up an exclusive collectible BB-8 button!

Fandango

On Fandango, Star Wars: The Force Awakens ticket buyers will be entered into a sweepstakes for the chance to win a trip to the film’s world premiere. Moviegoers who purchase tickets within the first 24 hours can increase their chances to win. Additionally, ten runners-up can win a collectible “Dark Side” or “Light Side” prize pack.

I've heard that Neil was ****. Ehh, he's washed up and can't even sing anymore:. His loss, not yours. Nikki and Mick were always my faves in the band.

My big dream was to smoke a butt with Nikki.

They were my favorite band from 13-17. The prospect of meeting them now was surreal as hell. I don't get starstruck, but I had an original Shout at the Devil record all set for a Sharpie and everything.

Yeah I won't even want to meat Vince Neil. Nikki and Mick always were most down to earth. My opinion of Tommy changed after reading his book while was kind of made out to be a **** a lot he seemed more likable after reading all the **** had been though. If you haven't read the Motley Crue book man is it interesting.

I haven't, but I'm definitely tempted to read that and The Heroin Diaries.

Morning dudes! How is everybody?

I may have to go to Alamo Drafthouse for a screening!

The Force is about to Awaken: Tickets for Star Wars go on sale tomorrow, 10/19 after the exclusive trailer debut during ESPN’s Monday Night Football. You'll know as soon as tickets are ready for purchase if you keep your eyes on this special Star Wars ticket purchase page: drafthouse.com/starwars
And now for more exciting news: We have not one, but TWO exclusive, extremely limited FORCE AWAKENS collectible items also on sale with tickets tomorrow 10/19, to commemorate this cinema event. An officially licensed Mondo-designed pint glass and our first ever, double-sized collector’s issue of our very own magazine, BIRTH. MOVIES. DEATH., featuring a Mondo-designed cover celebrating 40 years of the STAR WARS saga.

How are people already getting tickets for Force Awakens? Thought they weren't going on sale until after the trailer premier tonight.

They are availible here in Sweden, different release times for different countries?

I haven't, but I'm definitely tempted to read that and The Heroin Diaries.
I can definately recommend reading both.

But it's just not worth seeing them live anymore. Vince so called singing is horrible.

Pre-ordering movie tickets two months out. Is this what we've become? :lol

If you wanna see it on opening day...yes :lol

I was surprised they started selling the tickets 2 months in advanced but i guess that shows how popular Star Wars is and how anticipated the new movie is.

Poster looks cool. Very much in line with the rest of the SW branding. A few interesting things I noticed: No Luke, even Leia is in there. Poe is really small (hint of him having a small role?). Phasma is also a bit small. Some kind of death star thing in the background (big spherical object with giant cannon looking thing).

I think they're saving Luke for the movie and sine he's not on the poster, he might not even be in the new trailer today.
