Are IMAX versions of movies better than regular? Going it see Spectre and its same price

The IMAX projectors are better quality. The image may not be much better than a regular digital projection screen but they are projectors used better quality.
If filmed in IMAX you will see a difference overall but that is not the case here.

The sound in an IMAX theater is much better than most standard theaters.

Alright for the same price might as well. Just have to wait a lil longer.

Damn. I guess he truly was holding on just long enough to see the movie... JJ Abrams must be feeling both sad and happy right now (sad that the dude died, but happy that they did the right thing and let him see the movie)

If Uncle Dave is around, you better deny it!

Unload Sideshow and get $300 HT doll.
I have the original Vader release. Does it even sell well?

:lol I was going to post this the other day to bump the thread when it almost hit page two. :hi5:

Oh God... I'm thinking like a Waller... :panic:
Page two of what? What are you guys talking about?

Well that's what I get for being lazy.

Been really into vintage Star Wars lately, been hitting a ton of flash sales on FB. Celebrating my new R5 right now:
Is there a good FB group for buying and selling Vintage??? I need in on that action!

Don't fall in love with any co-workers!
:lol

I won't. My heart is cold and dead like a character's from a Tim Burton movie.
:lol

If filmed in IMAX, it is WAAAAAY better. Either way, it's still better. Bigger is better, dontcha know? I can't believe yours is the same price. My IMAX costs $4 more for a 2D movie, or $5.50 more for 3D, on top of the 2D prices. And you don't even get to keep the glasses! They force you to return them (so you can't sneak into an IMAX movie later, and it saves on their expenses).

Yeah, I didn't know Spectre wasn't shot in Imax til I saw it. When I noticed it wasn't filling the entire screen, I knew, and was sad.

I kinda wanted a ThreeZero guy from Dead Space, but I never got around to buying him. I just have Tyrion and the giant Metal Gear Rex that I wish I didn't buy.

Congrats on the new job! And how can you regret Tyrion?

Thanks! I actually just regret Metal Gear Rex. Tyrion is pretty cool, but there aren't very many other characters from that show that I really want a figure of. Maybe Jorah Mormont and Ser Davos.

Congratulations

Thanks Avfin. I may be in contact about that Bigfoot if you still have it once I get settled into this new job if you still have it.

The theater here in SLC is was $5 for any movies on Tue.

Spectre was great, the beginning was by far the best part IMO.

I'm starting to wonder when the big TFA advertising push is coming over here...sofar no advertising at all.

Nothing here either. It will probably start when we get closer to December. Although, if they can start advertising xmas 3 months in advance, then surely they can advertise for The Force Awakens sooner

Probably. I'm comparing it to the Age of Ultron marketing, that started about 3 months before the movie... :)

Happy Birthday, devilof76.
