Waller rubs one off on people? This thread gets weirder by the minute!!! :lol

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

My custom Red Book of Westmarch and Isildur's Scroll are on the way. The guy started working on these back in February and I should have them in 2-3 weeks. :rock

Red Book

Isildur's Scroll

Congrats on the Red Book, Josh. I imagine that's a grail item for you. Looks damn cool! :rock

Thank ya sir! :hi5: Yeah, I've wanted this for a long time and I took some money for sold items and got these two items. Was only $580 for both so that was a pretty sweet deal. I've looked at the book before that Wetanut has and its like having something from Middle-earth come to life.

Yep, both beautiful pieces, Josh.

That's what I was thinking. LotR has been with me in a big way ever since I read the trilogy in HS and I never thought the books were done justice as books, but these recreations certainly do the trick. Can imagine you reading the Red Book in front of a fireplace, with a pipe full of Halflings' leaf and a good mead...

Thank you :duff

I love Middle-earth. The work Tolkien did to create it is outstanding and the work Jackson has done bringing them to life couldn't have made me happier. I will make sure to sit down and gives this a good reading.

Wow Josh, those are stunning!

Are you going to box frame them, or what's your plan?

Thank ya sir. :duff

I think I will get the scroll framed at somepoint. The book ill leave out and about so I can take a peek at it. That's the plan at this point. I think. :lol

Damn, Josh. Congrats!! Those are gorgeous.

Did you ever get the contract from the Hobbit? I'm not into prop pieces but that thing was priced really nice at around 40.

Yeah, it's really cool. For me as a big fan of that world it doesn't get much better than these items. Thank you! It was nice to take items that I liked but could turn into something that ill keep for the rest of my days.

The one one from The Noble Collection? Yeah, I got that one. It's really pretty cool. You can't go wrong with it especially for the price. I'm not huge on replicas but things like the contract, red book, and some of Weta's items are great to have. The Key to Erebor from Weta is also pretty slick.

22x 28 is the US half sheet. Your poster is bigger than that?

Took measurements, forgot where ruler was, EXACT dimensions are 38 inches length, 27 width. 28 if ya count the 8/16 bent under the cardboard.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Hey! This is the Cantina, not The Green Dragon!

"We don't serve their kind here."

J/K Josh, nice additions to your collection. I think gibby meant the kind of shadow box display for the book to keep it safe, and which you could access easily. T'would look nice!

Yeah, I saw the key as well. Very cool!

You know, I don't go nuts with Middle Earth like I do with SW, but it comes in third for me, behind Indy and before the comic stuff. Love it!!

Haters Gotta Hate :nana:

Thanks :) got ya. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the book to be honest. Still pondering that one.

Yeah, it's pretty sweet.

It's the stuff I go nuts for no doubt about it. I just love the world and really everything about it. You guys that love SW that much understand I'm sure.

Wow, those are awesome. The Red Book is neat.

Thank ya :duff

Had some naked time last night with my poster.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

What are the chances Waller secretly refers to Buttflossi as "my poster"?
