Did anyone get the Reebok Alien shoe today?

I didn't hear about it until after they sold out. That's worse than the Pepsi Perfect scandal last year!

I think they're the best shoes ever. Been wanting a pair for years, but sadly, it wasn't meant to be. I took off the day to try to buy them and everything.

That really blows. Did you at least watch Alien/Aliens to celebrate the day?

In other news I watched the extended cut of ALIENS to celebrate LV-426 Day (after catching Purple Rain in the theater, there's a double feature for you.) Still so great after all these years!

The special sneakers causes a issues because now you have two groups after them. You have the fan of the movie and then sneaker heads who really have a better chance of getting them since they have all the connections in order to try and get them.

Isn't that the point of them being highly prized though? If they made enough for everyone then they are just regular old kahkah shoes.

Only 426 worldwide and only 36 sold in the U.S., though. Seems a bit too low. The women folk are up in arms because they were only available in men sizes from 9 to 12 too.

It's a 1977 "Eight Ball" machine from Bally and definitely a rip-off:

Eight Ball is also noted for "borrrowing" the likenesses of The Fonz and Pinky Tuscadaro (Henry Winkler and Roz Kelly) from Happy Days on the backglass and cabinet art. Reportedly, Bally got in trouble with Paramount Television and CBS as a result, but the details of the settlementnote are unclear.
