Any chance an English translation is planned? Looks awesome.

No need to restrain yourself in buying it because it is in French.
The author owns some unique items. He has Han Solo's Hero Stormtrooper helmet, an ESB Stormtrooper armor and helmet, a TIE Helmet, various Rebel pilots helmets (Y-wing, A-wing etc.), a lot of alien masks (Cantina aliens or from Jabba's palace), ANH screen used Vader mask (the one everyone thought it was long lost), ROTJ Vader suit, many studio scales like AT-AT, A-wing, Snowspeeder, speederbike etc., plus a lot of vintage figures and cards and original art. Like I said the book is quite unique, a must have for a collector who is really interested in original Star Wars props, and not just in what MR or EFX released.

So is it basically just someone's private collection ?

Exactly, he has a museum. He owns a huge collection of screen used props from Star Wars, but also from countless other movies: Star Trek, Blade Runner, Terminator, Predator, Aliens, Robocop, Jaws, BTTF, LOTR etc. - which were presented in his other book:

Saw Dr Strange today, really enjoyed it. Very different type of "comic" movie, but very well done.
I didn't expect to like it, but I did. The trailers didn't look good to me, but the movie itself was quite good... Sherlock Holmes had a decent American accent. And Rachel MyGirlfriend was decent in her scenes, granted not a pivotal role...
