I'm not sure if I'm opening up a can of worms here, or not, but why the attitudes toward Mondo? I know some hate how they release their posters, but what else?

My hatred comes from their original "nose in the air" attitude. They disguised the limiting of prints for the sake of art when all it's ever been is a hype building ploy to create a buzz about their products. This tends to breed scalpers and elitist collecting *******s, much like the sneaker collecting market. Did it work? Yes, sadly. If they gave a **** about actual art, they would give everyone a chance to own it... Hence, **** Mondo.

Definitely a fair point. I never knew anything about them until they announced their first SW series of art. During that run, I happened to have Thursdays as a day off. Being that I only wanted one or two, I was able to snag 4-5 others for fellow collectors. I was happy to help them get their art rather than pay an eBay price later on down the road. I would agree that it does breed a sort of collecting that I don't really care for.

If they did all their art like this new SW series, I think things would work out much better.
