Happy New Year everyone!

Sucks to hear about your kidney stones KenBen. Even more so to hear about you and Celebration. :( I'll hopefully still see you the next weekend at C2E2 though.

Yeah, plan on doing C2E2. Not sure if just 1 day, or the entire weekend. Depends on the programming...

The last 6 months have just been a health roller-coaster for me, and I want to get off the ride. I'm not having fun anymore! I was finally starting to feel normal again, the last week or two of December, and then this came out of nowhere... My play opens on the 18th, and this is affecting our rehearsals, so I need to nip this in the bud quickly.

FML. Sunday I went to the Emergency Room again. This time? Kidney Stones. Painful as HELL! It still hasn't passed. I got me some good pain meds, and a heating pad helps. They told me there's an 80% chance it should pass in 2-3 days. I pray they are right. This F'ing sucks. Never had one before. Have any of you guys?
Anyway, with TWO emergency room bills to pay for, I can now state definitively that I'm not going to Celebration. I just can't afford it this year... I don't know how I'm gonna pay these bills. Time to sell some stuff, I guess. If I can... :(

Sorry to hear this, buddy. I spent Christmas Eve in the ER and had to go back on the 27th to get everything cleared. I know the feeling about those hospital bills. I hope those pass for you with the least amount of pain.

There will always be other Celebrations, gotta get your health right first.

Ken that sucks, never had kidney stones but still have Gallstones and if they are anywhere as bad I feel for you.

What's the best place to get custom measured cases? The only ne I know of is cases for collectibles.
I would search for a plastics co in your area and see if they can make them. Not many make them but if your getting larger ones they cost a ton to ship.

Sorry to read that Kenben - I haven't had them before but I've heard they can be as painful as, or worse than, childbirth. I hope they pass ASAP, the timing sucks.

The Japanese "Star Wars Chronicles Episode IV, V and VI - Vehicles" book arrived, it is a great source of interesting information and unseen pictures regarding the studio scale ships and vehicles from Original Trilogy. I like how Japanese books are well packed and wrapped, seen this before with my manga and anime art books, and now with this Star Wars book. I highly recommend this book if you like studio scale models:

Wow, I'll have to get that. Were did you buy it from? And I can pratice my Japanese at the same time.

That's a cool looking book but that price, though. And that's not including shipping and customs. I was hoping Amazon.uk would have it like that french book but no dice :(

Beautiful book, jkno!

Thanks :)

It is a very expensive book, but well worth if you have the money IMO. Don't think it will be released outside Japan, and it has a lot of unseen photos of many studio scale models like Falcon, X-Wings, Y-Wings, Slave 1, Tantive 4, Star Destroyers, TIE ships, ESB & ROTJ AT-ST and AT-AT, Mon Calamari Cruisers, Speederbikes, Tyderium shuttle, Bespin Twin-Pod Cloud Car etc. The pro builders and modelers from RPF, modelermagic and other boards/groups seem very enthusiastic about this book.
