Okay, so this is where it's being talked about. Knew it'd be somewhere on the forum. I thought the name sounded really familiar and when I saw he was from GA it hit me. I remember the money trouble but just figured he was selling this to fund that. Guess that got him into trouble. Who steals Star Wars dolls???

I do remember a fund-starter type deal that he set up for his dogs medical fees. Which I always thought was odd given that he was doing freelance PR for Warner.

Lets not forget this all came to light after Philip Wise had something stolen and was determined it was Carl who stole it and sold it. I wonder who else he has visited?

From what I can gather Carl was lifting from storage areas of both Rancho Obi-Wan and Philip's workshop. He was taking things that wouldn't immediately be counted or thought to go missing. Philip posted he took unopened Master Replica pieces and things of that nature which would have commanded a lot on the secondary market just because they were unopened. Looking at some of the stuff leaking out from Rancho they are rare pieces that would have commanded thousands of dollars, the Wind-Up R2 is going for $5K on Brian's Toys. What got him caught is trying to fence a Rocket Firing Boba Fett that WAS on display and was noticed to be missing - Philip posted about it missing and a SoCal toy dealer bought it, recognized it and started the ball rolling.

Ironically he wrote this about Shea O'Brien Foley in 2002:

I'm sure my opinion will be tossed away into the "apologist" bin, but I am 100% in agreement with Lucasfilm here.

This d***head was an employee, PAID by Lucas to work on the films. And he stole what was essentially half a million dollars worth of assets from them (and possibly even more if his **** was the source of all of the early bootlegs).

They SHOULD throw the book at him and make him an example.

This piracy **** is no small potatoes, especially to an independent producer.

All the while turning to steal from people trusting him and not thinking twice to check their collections after his visits.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 27.
