I got two tickets for the Thursday Fan Event thing at 6:00 or 6:30 in Imax. Pretty expensive. I hope they throw in some nice extra stuff for the price.

I got 7pm opening night, but totally would have gone to the double-feature if I could have found someone to go with. My local friends are cheap bastards (SHUT UP! NO COMMENTS ALLOWED from you guys!!!) Even the $25 6pm showing with special features and collectible cards would have been fine with me. Alas, I'm stuck going to a 2D screening... I will see it in 3D on Friday, and IMAX on Sunday. Our IMAX amazingly is showing TLJ in 2D instead of 3D. They rarely do that. I'm not sure why that decision was made...

With the consumer move to 4K and within a few years 8K... expect less and less 3D overall at home as well.

I'm okay with less... or no 3D. Generally it adds nothing to the movie expect a few bucks to the ticket price. There have only been a few really stand-out 3D movies compared to a glut of pointless ones.

He tries to do that when meet up for a movie. Word of advice: avoid sharing popcorn with him.
