Good morning Cantina!
I'm here to wholeheartedly thank you for your generosity on the day of my graduation. I'm blown away by your generosity, but more importantly I just feel fortunate to have a tiny oasis on the internet where I can feel comfortable in my geeky and otherwise obtuse nature. At times during my four year journey to this day, I've drawn strength from the camaraderie found here on our fine freaks board. It's been a long time coming, and I'm still a bit in shock that the day is actually finally here. Some of you may know, and others may not. I was not chosen the first time I applied to the program in 2010. Didn't expect to be honesty. But then I was not chosen again in 2011, and was kind of gutted because I was then fully prepared for the program with all prerequisites completed. Then, of course, I was called up as an alternate when another dropped. Well, I'm here to tell you, that this alternate rose to the challenge and finished at the very top of my class. Okay there's only ten of us, but still. I have straight A's in all of my core courses, with just a couple of minuses. And the best part is that I scored a 90 on the ARRT national board exam in Radiation Therapy. I'm only the third person from our program in ten years to score in the 90's. Pretty happy right here.
So, enough boring words. I want to thank each of you who contributed to the spectacular gift I received from my brother Waller this morning.
