Hard to even call these things "cakes".... more like sculptures thanks to the fondant.

It's crazy what people can do. My sister made a 3-D replica cake of the dogs playing poker painting. Everything was edible except for the chairs (and they were until the royal icing holding the pretzels together crumbled).

A friend of mine did the Harry Potter owl sitting on a spell book as a cake for her best friend... It turned out really cool, though I felt weird being at a party with drunk adults that featured Harry Potter decor.

No, not even close... She also did one for another friend that had various Pearl Jam album covers done up in fondant... That was really impressive.
