I was thinking of builfing some kind of armature to sculpt off of... Steel rods for the arms, etc.... Then again, I might be better off looking into another character that can be covered somewhat with clothing?

well you could try to form it out of foam over a wire frame & then use that rubberized paint (you know that kind that waterproofs gloves & stuff?) it bends without cracking & could work. though i couldn't guess at how long that stuff would last. i'm sure if it wasn't handled or posed too often it would last quite a while. just a quick thought.

Now that I'm looking into the size of the character I'm realizing that he's WAY bigger than I first thought... As cool as it would be to have a 1/6th scale Amanaman on my shelf, the color alone would look so damn cool, it's not resonable...

I'd make an armature the build it with wax, then super sculpy. But then I'd need talent. Damnit! Ask Trevor Grove to pull an Amanaman outta his hat. That kid is a savant when it comes to sculpting!!! And it's really D! ck Gabe Dom Flo the 2nd?
