What does suck, is you know these are exactly the type of figures that eventually becoming the most collectible in a line. The ones where so few are originally desired that they make like 100 of them or something.

I think this is bigtime lame, big no no to stormtroopers with clone wars era markings.

I think the response did be a lot more positive if its repaints of Clone Troopers appearing in the movies.

Its been long rumored that GL will be color coding certain legions of troopers in the original saga to tie them back to the Clone Wars era. The Force Unleashed could just be the first taste in that.

I'm actually digging this repaint, but have no desire to buy it at full price. If it's ever discounted, I'm in.

That man just can't leave anything alone, can he?

I actually liked the uniformity of the OT stormtroopers as a faceless army. The color coding during the clone wars made more sense as the vast majority of clones were from the same templates, and had different specialties.

As for this figure itself, I kinda like it but haven't committed to plunking down any money for it. I'd have to give it more thought. It'd be an easier choice if it was a ROTS clone...I love that armor style

Part of me thinks it makes sense and would be cool to add the color rankings to the Stormtroopers. On the other hand I think it makes sense that Palpatine would strip the stormtroopers of any sense of identity by making them uniform and taking away their names and using just numbers (TK421 instead of Cody).

Which is good enough for me... the scenes with large amounts of white shiny Stormtroopers are classic to me. Getting rid of that would seriously irk me.

If I remember correctly it was the Jedi who encouraged them to gain a sense of identity even though they were Clones, so it'd still make sense because by ANH they were mixed in with standard citizens who already had names.

I think the repaint looks pretty cool in and of itself, but I'm not a fan of the EU, for the most part. I won't be getting it initially but perhaps down the road when it's cheaper.

And last but not least Hurricane's TESB Vader

So I went overboard on my allowance for late '08-'09.
