I've seen actual evidence of this, so. . .let's just say that I treat any sentiments you post about with a healthy degree of skepticism. Don't complain about how you are mistreated unless you are willing to have some responsibility for your own actions.

evidence i sent a threatening email? BS! that's an accusation that i feel must be proven because it wasn't sent by me!!! PM me some proof. the accused has a right to confront his accuser as well!

You should start a new thread to see if anyone has a working caps key for sale :lol

this is to anyone feeling slighted by the recent remarks against them in the 'depression' thread i started. i was hoping people could be amicable and respectful to each other and to work out their differences in a polite manner. but that doesn't seem the case.

i would urge all those slighted by those slinging insults, name calling and disrespect to REPORT those people responsible. we've tried appealing to the mods in the channel with no success, now it's time to get down to rule enforcement. if you don't get satisfaction from one of the mods, contact darklord dave. remember i was banned for this type of behavior. we all should expect those members committing board infractions to be treated equally.

The forum has a level of etiquette-- but it's a toy forum, and you reap what you sow.

True story...

There once was a shepherd boy who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village sheep. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, "Wolf! Wolf! The Wolf is chasing the sheep!"

The villagers came running up the hill to help the boy drive the wolf away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no wolf. The boy laughed at the sight of their angry faces.

"Don't cry 'wolf', shepherd boy," said the villagers, "when there's no wolf!" They went grumbling back down the hill.

Later, the boy sang out again, "Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is chasing the sheep!" To his naughty delight, he watched the villagers run up the hill to help him drive the wolf away.

When the villagers saw no wolf they sternly said, "Save your frightened song for when there is really something wrong! Don't cry 'wolf' when there is NO wolf!"

But the boy just grinned and watched them go grumbling down the hill once more.

Later, he saw a REAL wolf prowling about his flock. Alarmed, he leaped to his feet and sang out as loudly as he could, "Wolf! Wolf!"

But the villagers thought he was trying to fool them again, and so they didn't come.

At sunset, everyone wondered why the shepherd boy hadn't returned to the village with their sheep. They went up the hill to find the boy. They found him weeping.

"There really was a wolf here! The flock has scattered! I cried out, "Wolf!" Why didn't you come?"

An old man tried to comfort the boy as they walked back to the village.

"We'll help you look for the lost sheep in the morning," he said, putting his arm around the youth, "Nobody believes a liar...even when he is telling the truth!"

so to make a long and boring story short, you're calling me a liar. wonderful. problem is, i wasn't the only one being verbally abused in the depression thread. are we ALL liars?

I'm not calling you anything. :dunno I told a true story.

Truth. It's something that the internet allows some to bend for whatever need they might have. Others who don't feel the need to fabricate have a hard problem understanding the fabrications-- but we just shake our heads--- and live and let live.

Etiquette exists... even here. But there'll always be a tremendous amount of head shaking when faced with the painted truth of others.

:mexwave

Starting a new thread every time you're slighted is one way to address the problem. Ignoring the offending member is another way. The first approach irritates a lot of people, the second approach doesn't.

It's not rocket surgery :dunno

Is it poor etiquette to suggest people creating or posting in threads about their mental health, specifically their lack of mental health in a toy forum should slit their wrists? :lol

exhibit A. we can only hope karma exists.

maybe we can put it in other terms. when two children are playing and one starts hitting the other, do we reprimand the child hitting or the child being hit? so we post as not to upset certain forum members? this is getting very complicated and excuse me for being confused about the whole thing. can you just post a list of members we should brown nose and get it over with? maybe i can make a contribution to DD....you know...to keep things fair?

every MAN deserves common courtesy. so the way it's played is, if a thread is started in the SUB section, the sandbox, the subject, OP and all participants are open to ridicule because it's a subject others may not like? interesting. almost like the wild west. no moderation. cool.

i seem to be talking straight forward so i would appreciate that you reply without all the zen. i just can't understand your eastern philosophy way of posting. this 'the sandbox' is pretty cool. :hi5:
