Empty posting, scroll bombs, ALL CAPS, and unnecessary emphasis are all poor netiquette too.
Just sayin'. You know, in case someone was unaware.
how about no caps?

he isn't joking.............and don't call him shirley........
IMO, no caps isn't as bad as it isn't read as yelling or being aggressive like in my latter two examples, but I recommend adhering to proper sentence/paragraph structure and grammar to the best of your ability, simply for the sake of ease of reading for other users. If your posts are difficult for people to read, they may not bother to do so. You don't have to be perfect, no one in their right mind should expect that, but we all learned at least the basics, so include them in your posting.
You can use the "Multi" button to respond to multiple posts. It eliminates posting four times in a row (which some see as padding posts and going against basic etiquette).
Darkmatter right before posting
Did someone say paragraph?
A paragraph break wasn't necessary there. It was 3 sentences forming a complete thought. It's 4 lines of text unless you have a tiny monitor, enlarged text, or are viewing on a mobile device. If I were to format for those, I'd have to paragraph break after every sentence.
I'm messing with you
I'm on my mobile and it just looks like a block of text.
i get that a lot. maybe because over 83% of human communication is done through sight. you lose a lot in written form.
'' after a comment indicates 'not serious'
i was banned for negative comments and what was considered bashing, i guess. i don't see any difference but really, what IS the difference. it's established some are treated differently than others. i suggest getting over it. that's what i'm doing.

I dont understand the need for people to constantly frequent threads about products they're not interested in / don't like / are disappointed with etc.
Post once or twice, share you OPINION and move on to something else. .... that being said, Ive somewhat accepted we live in a whiney, temper-tantrum throwing internet society now.
Its very obvious who has had a coddled life and gets butt hurt when things aren't to their liking.....
People waste so much time being ....
Well, either there's a difference in the way people are treated, or there's a difference in the way people express themselves when they share a negative opinion. I don't know how you expressed yourself. I don't know the context. I don't know if it was reported or not. I don't know how you reacted when confronted by the moderators.
What I do know is that people who have been here longer are more familiar to--and with--the moderators. We know each other, and have for years. If you don't think that any one of us could pull something banworthy right now, and not get it right between the eyes, you are severely mistaken.
So, what that tells me is that the difference is probably in the difference you're not seeing.
You tell me.
