Too many LOTR fans fall for the "more is better" mindset. When it comes to FOTR, they're wrong. :monkey3

The TE of each film I think are all excellence but the EE of each take it to another level. It has nothing to do with more is better. We're not SW fans Carl we actually have pulled our heads out of our ass.

So thanks for telling me I'm wrong. You can shove that someplace special.

We're not SW fans Carl.

Please don't come into the LOTR section and start telling everyone how you know how we really are like you do in other sections.

:lol I had no idea this was a turf war.

Maybe it will be like Close Encounters of the Third Kind and just include ALL versions in one Blu-ray set. That would be awesome!:banana
That indeed would be the best thing. But I'm sure the studio will milk it for multiple releases. They always do.

Its not. You always seem to "know" how fans off all areas really are. I'm pretty damn sure with LOTR you don't.

First off, why would LOTR be any different than any other thing I like? Are the diehard "Ringers" more special than other groups of fandom or something?

Secondly, I never said that it seemed like all LOTR felt that way about the EEs. I said "many". Lighten up, dude.

Holy crap, dude. You actually went back and edited your post to make it even more harsh and catty??? :lol

Thats true I guess it would be. You know everything about everything. :rotfl No, but in my experience Ringers tend to be a bit different than other groups of fans.

I wouldn't even say many. A few maybe but that's as far as I'd go. I got something you can lighten up on pal.

Whatever. I have opinions about stuff and I share them. That's it. No more, no less. :huh

There was absolutely nothing in my post that should have precipitated such a response. You need to learn how to compartmentalize your feelings about this stuff a bit better and not take and/or make things personal. It's absolutely unnecessary and uncalled for.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph. What's up with you tonight? You off your meds or something? ON some meds or something? :lol

Wanted to make sure my point got across.
That's fine, but you would have been much more successful with at least a modicum of restraint. Know the value of unexpressed thought, my friend.

I prefer to watch the EE's of all three. I think the first one is even with the theatrical. Two Towers EE was a major improvement over the truncated theatrical version. And while the ROTK EE is very long, I find the additions, namely Saruman and the Houses of Healing, to be wonderful additions.
