The contest table SS had going on the first post in this thread was good for keeping track of the contests that were open for days/weeks. It's a shame that first post can't be edited freely.

We could always make another thread and have someone who is around more frequently be able to update the first post. I nominate Snake Plissken :lol

I had a bunch of things set aside for contests in here, but I recently did major house re-arranging to setup my new collection display room, and things got misplaced in the shuffle. Hopefully I can find most of it again within the next month...

You could update post 1 in your contests thread. Just have fellow Freaks PM you with the contest details. :)

And even a winners table if you can keep up. :lol

Maybe each person holding a contest can make a post there with the winner for record

That was the original idea behind the FT contest thread. It's just easier to have the first post of this thread have updated details instead of a separate thread. The Contest thread appeared to be helpful last year. We'll see if it is helpful this year. If no one finds it helpful, we'll just let it fall into oblivion :lol

I'm going to start going through all the stuff I have piling up around the house. I need to sort through it all and put everything into piles to sell or give away. I feel like I'm lagging behind this year compared to the last couple years.

I'm semi-organized. I have a few things to put in give-away bundles but still need to get some pumpkin pails like last year. I may have a Fingerling giveaway too just as a trick :lol :rock

Yeah the contest thread usually falls behind. Its just easier to have everything on this one thread but being able to update the first post will be the most helpful. Anyway, it never stopped everyone from enjoying the contests. We all had a blast regardless. :)

Well I will hold at least 1-2 this year, saving a few things for the Figure of the Year photo contest at years end.

Preview : the contest here will revolve around Star Trek : TNG....so start brushing up on those via Netflix...

I have a box of things that I was going to use for contests, but my wife "cleaned up" and now I don't know where the box is!

That's what happened with all of my vintage Star Wars figures as a kid. Garbage and garage sale when I was at Grandma's for a week during the summer. :rotfl

I'm glad to see that upsetting experience didn't stay rooted within you...

Same thing happened to me. My mom used my complete Ewok Village set box to take a bunch of junk to Goodwill. :slap

Yeah, when we were cleaning out my parents house after my dad passed away I found my old 12” Stormtrooper (I remember buying it with the money my Grandpa gave me for Xmas one year. He glued 30 Susan B Anthony dollars to a giant Christmas card and mailed it) but it was roached since it was in the shed for 20+ years. I couldn’t find the rest of my figures thought… I think mom gave them away long before that. Oh well.

I lost my Transformers, GI Joes, and Star Wars figures to a garage sale my parents had when I went to college. Just an absolutely traumatizing experience when I went looking for them and realized they were long gone. I'm still bitter about it. :lol
